Tow ball got bent up into the bumper, but no other damage. Still drive-able. The other kids Subaru wasn't too bad either. Number plate 20m down the road, but just a couple of dings and scraps on the front bumper.
Exchanged details, shook hands.
This morning, I realised his number plate wasn't in the photos I took of the front, so sent him a text.
He comes back with "Your car must've already been damaged, because yadda yadda wank wank...."

He also asked me to postpone reporting it because he didn't know if he'd paid his insurance.

Turns out he's covered. Good try though.

I had an accident at Marion shops once, I backed into this poor lady. Anyway we exchanged details and she rang me later that day saying she got a quote from a friend panel beater and wanted $1000 cash to sort it out. I said nah I am going through insurance and about to lodge a police report for my insurance company. 2 minutes later she rings back in tears asking me not to do that as she is unlicensed! I never heard from her again after she hung up...

The old guy kept calling me, demanding money, telling me he's coming to my house, etc. I was 20, sharing a house with my brother. Told him I'd see him when he got here. Didn't show up.
I texted him once I'd lodged the claim, but never heard a word back.
My insurance company told me that his car was worth less than my excess, so to just pay him for the repairs, or pay for him to get an equivalent.
Tried to contact him to arrange a payment, and no replies.
I assume he wasn't licensed at the time of the crash. I also think he'd been drinking, because he didn't want police to come.
Today the guy wanted me to hold off on telling the insurance company what date it happened. No chance Im gonna lie on a police report. Its all via text too. He's not too bright.
