Everyone is talking up that the top 5 are all playing well so who will make the prelim finals. Makes this weeks game Happy Valley v Brighton(home game) very interisting indeed.
Cove will play Reynella in the first final and lets say Cove win that and M/vale wins there first against H/V or Brighton then Reynella would have to play M/V in a prelim and would say H/V like to play Cove in a prelim who they struggle with or if Brighton win this week Reynella or Cove might play H/v in a knock out final - should be good to see how it unfolds

Congrats must go to Milo 100 goals and butcher was in the b grade.Dont mean to go quiet mexican but what i saw on satuday was not worth comment on really.

I Would also like to say congrats to Milo on his 100 goals - great effort and like Pollard missed a few games with injury,
Butcher in the B Grade - did he actually play!!!!!!
Surely you didnt recruit him to win a B Grade Premiership did you

Premiership medallions are welcome at Reynella after all, B grade one's... Smith and Butcher in the 2's for their back to back grand final assault, go for it boys...

I was being sarcastic, I knew what you meant as well

Brighton have got as good a midfield as anyone that ive seen this year and have the ability to play a lot of numbers around the ball - have they got the forwards to kick a winning score is the big query.
Happy Valley like the big ovals and will be a big threat come finals but I think Brighton at home might sneak in

Im guessind the GF is at Noarlunga again this year? what a joke that is! The old days at Pt Noarlaunga were so much better. The crowds and atmosphere were excellent. Noarlunga oval is much bigger than the players are used too, and the atmosphere lacks - big time. i think the SFL needs to change back ASap - They need to bring back the crowds and carnival atmosphere to GF days.

H.V may have a shot if they make it - I agree big grounds suit them.

Don't hold your breath mate... The deal was after a move away that it would be reviewed to move the GF back to Porties... That's what the league said anyway. Once it changed we (the players) had no chance of it moving back. Instead of demanding more police presence at Porties they have chosen to move the GF to Noarlunga to please South. If the league was serious then they would do a vote of all senior footballers where they would prefer to play the GF at... Without doubt the majority would say Porties, great atmosphere, great oval... We've lost out on that one and it will NEVER go back...

With the SFL headquarters heading to Souths new building and the gate takings better than Porties I think the GF is staying at South for a while. Maybe the lack of atmosphere has something to do with morphies and reynella playing just about all day and the Crows playing Prelims that day last 2 years and no-one else can be bothered going, and 100 pissed 15 year olds made a bit of noise at porties too. If there is a mix of teams in the seniors and 18's maybe they might be a better atmosphere, or they should let us park cars around the oval like South games.

Unfortunately the SFL has lost out on many things in recent years. The competition is now one division and there only 5 or 6 clubs that remain strong and worthy of taking the flag. The SFL has been chasing clubs from other leagues for the past 2 - 3 years without any success at all. If anything the SFL is struggling to retain clubs in the competition. The word from other leagues is the SFL is up the s*#t and why would you want to play in it. Players are now slowly leaving to the GSFL, HFL or Amatuers. When are they going to wake up and do something about it!

Interesting you say that, I just read in another thread that Edwardstown's application to join the SFL was rejected...

I think it was rejected by the Senior playing group.

Was at the Emus Brighton game last week. was rather dissapointed both sides looked very scrappy and didnt have much flow. Would think that they will have to improve a bit to win the flag, Valleys may be the big suprise packets and take this one out.

Checking out the middle of the ground with the cricket pitch......i would dare say that they may complain in an attempt to have the game moved.....

There is a fair bit at stake....
