The extra "exposure" the C7 deal creates is clearly at the expense of the SANFL and the clubs. On Saturday it cost the SANFL and South to keep people out of the place. Paid for the TV deal and people stay away....good going!
Having said all that, shows the challenges South face, nice day, big night at the club, historic event and a home match that was always going to be very hard to lose and under 1000 people. Surely even a poor South supporter turn out would be 1000+ on their own?
Spot on Booney.
Now that the Magpies are nothing more than a reserves outfit, their needs, and by extension the needs of the SANFL, will ALWAYS run secondary to that of the Power in that club's eyes. If the administrations can't create circumstances that keep the priorities clearly separate then Port will choose the course of action that favours their AFL version of the club. A more concrete reason for them being kicked out of the SANFL forthwith you will not find.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
