Yes, you're right, but then you've got to put into context what impact their presence would have in the side, and if they're better than some others in the side - if the side is better with them available then clearly they're losses.

The loss of a genuine ruck showed yesterday I thought, Port were smashed in the centre.

It's not going to get any easier in the Ruck for Port this weekend.

Reckon your midfield has all taken a step back and that's the real issue. How many of them can say they have even stayed the same as last year? Not too many.

It's not just the hitouts. Port won the clearances yesterday, ( +2 ), it's the hitouts to advantage that kill us. Many of our clearances yesterday were Trengove throwing the ball in his boot, or Wines barreling through, Carltons were Cripps/Gibbs to a runner in space and away.

Krakouer sets up our back half, him at home allows Pittard and DBJ the scope to run, having said that I agree with you. He reads the play well, is better overhead than his size suggests he would be and is without question the best kick in our back half over 35-45m. ( I think Broadbent and Pittard are better with 50m+ legs ).
