I have one statement, then one question.

Statement. If Im in the right hand lane doing 60kms in a 60km zone, the only way you could possibly have a problem with that is if you're speeding. I won't change the way I drive to suit people who want to break the law. If you're speeding in the right lane, people in the left lane checking their mirrors to move over before a right hand turn have to judge if you're coming faster than you should. Thats just one dangerous situation it causes.

Question. IF you are in the right hand land and NOT speeding, what the f**k are you doing in it for long enough to get aggitated with people driving too slow in it. Surely you're only in it for a few hundred meters before you turn right. Right?

It's a courtesy thing, I'd sooner not piss off the wrong person on the road, each to their own though

The problem is people's interpretations of 60kmh are different. I know my speedo is almost 10% out, as are almost everyone else's. So I will happily sit on 65 knowing I am doing 60.

Furthermore it is just a courtesy thing. If you can be in the left lane but you decide to be in the right lane, because fk the dude behind me, I think that is just as wrong as speeding

Its true, speedos read a higher speed than you're actually doing, but that still doesnt matter.

60kms is the speed LIMIT. Both lanes are equal, so you can sit on 55kms in either.

If i want to sit in the right lane early so o dont have to get in between f**kwits speeding in the right hand land when i get near my turn, I will. And Im entitled to do that.

If you're running late enough to have to speed somewhere, its your problem, not mine.

I live 15 mins from work, leave 30 mins before I have to be there. Havent been late in years.

Last year I was a passenger on the autobahn quite a lot. Obviously because of the lack of speed limits, at any point you could have a car doing 200+ up your arse if you stick in the left lane, so you only used it for overtaking and then got back quick smart. It worked brilliantly. Basically it was a 100kph lane for trucks etc, one or two lanes where cars would do up to 150, and then the left lane was a little scary haha.

Theres no difference between lanes. If the left ones moving faster because Im doing 55 in the right one, YOU get in the left lane. Whats so hard about that?

On a single lane road, if you overtake on the left then yes. If it's a two lane road and a car is in the right hand lane, going past them while you're in the left lane is perfectly fine
