have a couple of targets in mind and definately 2 on field positions to upgrade and then probably Ellis and Suckling too.
biggest issue is having too many doughnuts on the bench (literally and in SC terms) and so i'm not making cash for the upgrades...
still a fair bit of time and im going ok in Div 1 so should run home ok...

Good in trades but you've missed the downgrade targets. It's a very fine line between making the downgrade targets and preserving trades. I reckon having 14 isn't necessarily a comfortable position. You missed out on the scoring bonanza last week and that doesn't bode well for your chances of promotion. It's not much good having six trades left if you lose the Prelim Final and miss out on promotion.
I played Les' Men last week in Elite and he scored over 2600 points. I'd rather play a bloke with 10+ trades who can't hit that score believe me. As for my efforts, I've probably gone too far the other way.As for your sitation good news about Morabito getting a run for Freo and Cluery for Port makingthe emergencies list. You'll need both to come on to take advantage. Another possibility is Honeychurch from your mob if you don't have him already.

I can't quite recall, but he had the highest average of the players I could afford... bad call?

Not a bad call- when Boyd is used offensively, he has the ability to generate some big scores, however if McCartney uses him in a negating capacity it has the propensity to hurt his scoring abilities.
With Griffen out of the side in the interim you should be fine however.
