3.

My last upgrade may be made this weekend if funds permit, giving me a full side.

No cash left, so waiting for a couple of downgrade options to come along. Don't think any are around this week.

4. Relegation avoided but far from settled in the top eight. Can't trade for a while, perhaps to the finals. Need to get Griffen back on deck cos Tyson has hit the wall. Docherty was a shit choice too. Brought him in for Laidler and he isn't scoring a lot more than him. Looked a top move when he tonned up early on but now that the Blues are really struggling so is Doc.

Probably two trades needed to upgrade Doc and get rid of Cutler but where are the cheap defenders? Pretty happy everywhere else would like to upgrade McGovern and still kicking myself over selecting Riewoldt.

Too many dumb moves to have a successful Premier year, aiming to go back to back in the Piglet but I have to get by Underdogs, SHARKS, FNQ Trotters, FOOTYLEDGENS and DA HEAT. Maybe qualify for Champions League again but Elite is gone. Not scoring enough.

10 trades + $300K

Still need to make a couple of upgrades.

Banking on scraping into finals, but with trade leverage as my key to success.

wow, i feel like im in a good position with 14 trades still...

have a couple of targets in mind and definately 2 on field positions to upgrade and then probably Ellis and Suckling too.

biggest issue is having too many doughnuts on the bench (literally and in SC terms) and so i'm not making cash for the upgrades...

still a fair bit of time and im going ok in Div 1 so should run home ok...

Good in trades but you've missed the downgrade targets. It's a very fine line between making the downgrade targets and preserving trades. I reckon having 14 isn't necessarily a comfortable position. You missed out on the scoring bonanza last week and that doesn't bode well for your chances of promotion. It's not much good having six trades left if you lose the Prelim Final and miss out on promotion.

I played Les' Men last week in Elite and he scored over 2600 points. I'd rather play a bloke with 10+ trades who can't hit that score believe me. As for my efforts, I've probably gone too far the other way. :) As for your sitation good news about Morabito getting a run for Freo and Cluery for Port makingthe emergencies list. You'll need both to come on to take advantage. Another possibility is Honeychurch from your mob if you don't have him already.

yeah i know where you'r coming from, no prizes for having trades in the bank but in previous years i've spent up early to get burnt come finals, last year i went out in straight sets.

i certainly havent had the best year with rookie choices so need to make sure my upgrades work, i may end up having to keep Suckling as D6 just due to the fact i dont have enough cash generation on the bench... we'll see...

Honey is on the cards if he can stayin the side, we have Griffen coming back in which jeopardises his spot. fingers crossed some of my bench boys get a run so i have the option... i have a feeling another year in Hogg 1 looms

I have 9 trades left.

I slipped out of the Top 8 in Div VI last week, and I made a double trade (Dale Thomas and James Aish out, Christian Salem (bench) and Matthew Boyd in), to hopefully enhance my midfield firepower.

I hope this works...

How much cash did you have when upgrading to Boyd FC?

I can't quite recall, but he had the highest average of the players I could afford... bad call?

Not a bad call- when Boyd is used offensively, he has the ability to generate some big scores, however if McCartney uses him in a negating capacity it has the propensity to hurt his scoring abilities.

With Griffen out of the side in the interim you should be fine however.
