The batting depth is amazing in Aussie cricket at the moment.

You would think Rogers will drop out and move Hughes to the top. The Aussies can not drop the leading run scorer for the tour so far. Then again this is Australia we talking about who come up with strange ideas

Exactly. In my opinion Warner and Hughes have to bat in the top 3 or not at all. Khawaja is not up to Test standard, nor are Rogers and Cowan.

Don't think Rogers will be dropped. 2 bowlers will be the only change, with Warner 12th man.

This is a horribly negative thread.

I think we will take the Ashes to a 13th day. Let's get positive lads :)

Don't let the facts get in the way of a rant.
Rogers has scored slightly more than Hughes in the series so far, with 81 of Hughes' 4 innings total of 83 coming in one innings.
There's no escaping the fact that Rogers had a shocker at Lords, except that included another dodgy LBW.
That won't convince the knee-jerk reactionaries who want him dropped, but he's a better player than Hughes.
In any case, Smith's injury concern may make the decision a lot easier for the selectors.

Our leading run scorer was our number 11 im pretty sure. There case in point lies the problem. Protect your wicket like its attached to your nut sack this test top order or bring in someone who will.

Rogers got a dodgy LBW(His LBW to Swann) and Hughes got a rough LBW(His LBW to Anderson) and probably a dodgy caught behind. There is no way he referred that straight away if he knew he hit it.

Hughes should remain in the side i believe and so should Rogers.

Khawaja should be the first out. Yes he showed something in the last test but Hughes showed alot in the first test. Does not performing for one test overshadow that? If he was in the side before Khawaja and he hasn't set the world on fire then he should be first out.
