Gotta feel sorry for the players though, playing their 150th game and they'd be thinking the fans care so much that they can't spell their name right and the reserves have to hold up the banner, why would they bother trying?

Only 4 adults turned up to help, with a couple of kids later in the night, when 1 of the adults had to leave.
We were all very tired and disheartened with lack of help on the Thursday night, so unfortunately when the setting out of letters was changed at the last minute, and the letters were moved, they were transposed without being noticed.
The kids sticky taped that section, but I should have double checked it before rolling it up.
Not a good excuse, but it definately wasn't due to a lack of respect. Lack of helpers more likely.
Most times the Trainers help hold the banner up. As I wasn't there I'm not sure why they didn't on this occassion.

I am sure if it was us that had the typo and coupled with a thrashing we would be copping it on here and getting bagged on the SL Forum!
Don't worry despite you best efforts every Cheer Squad / Banner making group has a spelling mistake issue at sometime!

They really are an ungrateful lot at the Bay when it comes to the gifts we have given them over the years! Would be a really bare trophy cabinet at Brighton Rd if not for us!

As someone who has made over 200 hundred banners and alot of times with little help I can sympathise and we are not knocking your efforts, so well done for recognising two of your best palyers over the last 2 decades. We are just having a laugh, mainly at your attempts to cover it up on photo shop! It does though seem to sum up the GFC at present from an outsider perspective!![]()
