Gotta feel sorry for the players though, playing their 150th game and they'd be thinking the fans care so much that they can't spell their name right and the reserves have to hold up the banner, why would they bother trying?

OK we stuffed up. But it wasn't because we didn't care enough.

Only 4 adults turned up to help, with a couple of kids later in the night, when 1 of the adults had to leave.

We were all very tired and disheartened with lack of help on the Thursday night, so unfortunately when the setting out of letters was changed at the last minute, and the letters were moved, they were transposed without being noticed.
The kids sticky taped that section, but I should have double checked it before rolling it up.

Not a good excuse, but it definately wasn't due to a lack of respect. Lack of helpers more likely.

Most times the Trainers help hold the banner up. As I wasn't there I'm not sure why they didn't on this occassion.

As someone who has made over 200 hundred banners and alot of times with little help I can sympathise and we are not knocking your efforts, so well done for recognising two of your best palyers over the last 2 decades. We are just having a laugh, mainly at your attempts to cover it up on photo shop! It does though seem to sum up the GFC at present from an outsider perspective! :D

I am sure if it was us that had the typo and coupled with a thrashing we would be copping it on here and getting bagged on the SL Forum!

Don't worry despite you best efforts every Cheer Squad / Banner making group has a spelling mistake issue at sometime!

The photo shopping is really so the club and the players have a momento to keep for years to come.

I was the one who contacted our photgrapher to see if his talented son would do it for us, and he came through.. but couldn't fool you guys :D

You should see what we do with Photoshop (tm) on pictures of our trophy cabinet...

We don't need typos or thrashings to bag your lot on SL.org

That would make a good thread on the history forum... even better with pictures

No comment to your first two responses :D but the third has some merit. I think I have one or two with typos's somewhere?

They really are an ungrateful lot at the Bay when it comes to the gifts we have given them over the years! Would be a really bare trophy cabinet at Brighton Rd if not for us! :D

I see Kirkby got pinged for rough conduct re his hit on Keller off the ball. He will take a reprimand but seriously the reply looked like Keller wasn't watching as he was running back and Kirby just gave him a body check and caught him unaware so hence he was winded. Hardly a report to be honest.
