I like to balance my factual well reserached and structured reading with fiction and amusing rubbish and the PAFC are providing plenty of that re this debate! Mind you to be fair and balanced, Rob Chapman's claims re crowd numbers for the "Ravens" are equally amusingly rubbish and laughable!

Where would that come from.

The scripted SANFL directors comments?

The NAFC remarks, clearly screened by the SANFL?

Or on Adelaide Now with Michaelangelo Rucci?

How can Port seriously call Port Magpies an SANFL team while loaded with their AFL players? They are really jerking each other off with this one.
Booney, what happened to the integrity of the successful "One Club" proposal that said "Port Magpies will never be used as a Power Reserves team"?
Not only are they bull sh!tting the public and the SANFL but also their supporters and members.....and they lap it up! Idiots.

Sook. Like he is the only person driving this. He's better off without people like you speaking to him anyway.

Oh really?
Sorry for not liking a guy who is trying to destroy the comp and club that served him so well for all those years.

Youre right, the Port Adelaide CEO should definitely run the club with Norwood in the front of his mind.

As a Port Magpies supporter for all my 38 years of life and certainly NOT a Port Power supporter(why does everyone assume you have to be both).......and attending more Port Magpie premiership wins in that period than some people have attended minor round games........I certainly don't want the Power reserves playing in the SANFL parading as the Magpies.
Even though the real Port(SANFL Magpies) died a slow death in late 96'..............I have still tried to follow them since then.
For Port supporters like myself there is no solution to their current plight?
Unfortunately the life support the Magpies have been on since 97' is shortly going to be turned off forever!!!
F**k the Power!!
RIP the real Port.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

An extract of what I sent to KT:

"A specific question I have for you is whether the retention of a zone and u/16’s, 18’s and SANFL reserves teams is a deal breaker for the PAFC? Would the PAFC walk away from its proposal to field an AFL reserves team in the SANFL League if it meant completely handing back your zone and losing all junior teams?

Much of the talk from the PAFC around keeping the Magpie heritage has been based around not wanting to lose 143 years of existence in the local community. I understand that. However I am saddened that both AFL clubs do not recognise that the current proposals would be inflicting huge damage on the SANFL competition. The SANFL has been in existence for 136 and is as much a part of the fabric of Adelaide and South Australia as the Magpies are in the Port Adelaide region. It puzzles me that the PAFC make much of their history and the need to protect it whilst at the same time are proposing an idea that would irretrievably change the SANFL competition altogether.

No individual is bigger than an footy club and no footy club is bigger than the game itself. It appears to me that both AFL teams think they are bigger than the game itself in SA. It is disappointing that as an SANFL Premiership player you appear to be supporting the view that PAFC is bigger than the game itself in SA."
