Really good win by the boys yesterday. It was a must win game to keep in touch with the top 5.
The boys have gained a lot of confidence from the past 4-6 weeks of footy. Very tight division.

Our lad didn't get reported either, but spectators wrote to SAAFL, an investigation took place and 8 weeks was the result. Get on top of it early kookas and take this blokes opportunity of finals footy from him.

I will think that SAAFL will get an email Monday from someone at the Kookas.

They just wanted it more than us and got the two points, we were hardly in the contest all day, they did it so easy for most of the game. We had absolutely no help from the umpires though, they f**king killed us. I think most of the umpires we've had this year have been pretty good, the ones today were awful.

TDK, doesn't help when some players are out till the wee hours of Saturday morning either

To the Elizabeth player that hit our captain today. The guy that you hit is a true gentleman of the game and of the Kenilworth club. He enjoys his footy and plays for the love of the game. I hope this injury that he copped doesnt mean he has an early retirement to football.

It was a another good day for the club with 3 wins again. Which is 3 weeks in a row now.

Yeah ill be out tryin to catch the home games and hopefully supporting 3 teams in the finals!!

Wishing Kenilworths Capo a speedy recovery and would be great if he returned in time for finals.

Not at all condoning this behaviour, or approve of the outcome, but I do hear that the bloke who got whacked was starting on one of the younger blokes for Eliz before the incident occurred. Didn't see it nor was I there, but just thought id add that part of the story in.

Doesnt make a difference Billsy. If you're on the field you get treated like everyone else. I dont check ID's when I play against people.

No one deserves multiple facial fractures from a hit behind the play for "starting on a young bloke". What did he do to this young bloke that condones the Elizabeths players actions?

He did say he didn't condone the act. Just suggested it may not have been as random an attack as it appears.
Appalling, nonetheless.

Like I said, I don't condone this either, nor did I see it or was at the game. But I was just putting it out there so people got the other side of the story, Although the guy received facial fractures, I believe it was a single punch, I don't think he was king hit, although behind play they were facing each other. The Eliz player was trying to stick up for his mate. Maybe he didn't think he would cause so much damage.

I'm not sure what the checking ID's has to do with your point though sorry

Im just saying that everyone on the field is equal, no matter their age. If they're on the field, they shouldnt be treated differently. So the fact the culprit was sticking up for a young bloke isnt much of an excuse. It doesnt change my opinion if everything people are saying is true.

Ive played seniors exclusively since I was 14, and never expected to be treated differently to the senior blokes.

Anyway, if he punched him, he deserves a few games at least. If it was a football incident I'd feel a lot differently.

Yep I agree, and got you now. I just put it up there so people didn't continue to speculate whether he king hit him etc. Im sure he will get weeks, due to the severity of the blokes injuries. Time will tell I guess

I'm gathering this will turn into an investigation - so my advice is to not give 3rd hand versions of events on here.

Apparently no investigation by SAAFL, one supporter not welcome at woodville south games for rest of season. From what I have heard some very thin skinned umpires.

I'm glad woody sth didn't suffer due to dickhead supporter, but SAAFL are the biggest bunch of tossers! They go on the news with comments of being accountable and hard lined and then nothing eventuates. They make claims of clamping down on thuggery yet no Line in the sand drawn. OLD FARTS WHO'VE LOST TOCH WITHBTHE CURRENT GAME AND ITS PLAYERS!!! You should see the geriatric group who run tribunals! Wow! If I didn't have to look remorseful I'd have sat there and laughed at them! Kangaroo court where clubs and areas are judged NOT the incident.

Cheers Carey!
Well our boys took on the BYE in the 2's yesterday. Extremely uninspiring effort and our score should have been inverted. 30 scoring shots for 10 goals is unacceptable. They were poo, but allowed to play a very scragging, dirty brand of football as there ump tend to feel sorry for them, but in all seriousness... Their ump could have given them a 10 goal head started and then umpired fairly and we'd still beat them coz they're crap. That's just the reality! Bad luck to our A's... Hoping they can dig deep and scalp a few above them in the next few games
