REB I wasn't trying to be clever with Swan

I had planned from the start of the round to trade him in for Dwyer I was just making sure he actually played become committing.

From what I've seen 2111 is an excellent score so I got a lucky break.

I would have claimed it LOL. BTW, doing all the Hogg scores now and I haven't seen a better score than yours yet. Chelsea FC beat my score so that actually made me feel better ha ha. You weren't lucky, just too good!

Well played sir.

Hawkeye has pulled off a boilover win against the number one ranked coach in the Hogg after defeating the mighty Darksiders by 40 points. Woggy has no snuck into the top four and this has been his best Hogg season yet. Another coach who is having their best ever HPL season is wycbloods who won a tightly contested battle against his brother CoverKing in the derby. At 4-6 it's going to be tough now for Richo Richo to make the finals. While Richo is unlucky to lose Captain Who and to a lesser extent Cork in the Ocean could consider themselves lucky to win with such low scores.

Hondo's Texas Danger is looking pretty good at the moment scoring a second straight score of 2100 during a bye week. He can't do it again surely? Another team looking good at the moment is The Ginger Ninjas who have shaken off their early season run of poor scoring and they have now moved out of the relegation zone. Gingernuts' big win over MILLERS has dropped Dutchy into the bottom two and if he can't secure a win soon he'll be returning to Division I. If Dutchy does go down he'll be the first promoted coach to get relegated to his former league in any Hogg Division.

2007 Hogg Premier winner Poon Army has skipped away at the top of the table after winning the match of the round against second ranked Texas Danger. It was a great week for the Army as nearly all the other sides in the top eight were knocked off by lower ranked opponents. MILLER MOSQUITOES is the side to sneak into the top eight after Qs comment above proved to be prophetic as Mundy's late withdrawal allowed Squeakeroos to get the upset win. Buddyroughawks, Hawkeye and Darksiders all went down as well so the middle of the ladder has tightened up considerably.

In other news finn's chardy socialists have opened their account and thrown them a slight lifeline as they attempt to dodge relegation. Beating The Ginger Ninjas is a good start as you'd think that they'd be the only side now that the chardies could catch with only six matches to go. Dutchy hasn't shown much for weeks now and he is looking in trouble as well but Gingernuts has kept Dutchy in it by getting rolled by the previously winless chardies.

McEvoy got concussed and I played one player short whereas Poon was well set up. In fairness to him he lost Mundy pre game and Mayes got subbed out. A deserved win for the army well played.

Fairness be darned. Nobody has scored well against Poon all year (check out the score against). The ladder flatters him immensely and he's a soft touch in the finals.

The biggest news from this weekend's round of Premier League action was the unprecedented third successive loss for perennial heavyweights Darksiders SCE. The Dark Side would have pencilled in a win against the battling Ginger Ninjas this weekend but Benny's boys pulled out a good score and the Dark side has slipped out of the top eight.

Perhaps there is a new heavyweight in town as the reigning champion Captain Who went to second on the ladder as they took advantage of an obvious tank from Poon Army that racked up chardy like numbers in this key clash. Hammo obviously had this one down as a lost cause and elected to hold his trades and cop the loss which is solid coaching with that two game buffer that he still holds after the Texans were rolled by the Q Man. I haven't given wycbloods' Buddyroughhawks much of a write up this year but they have been in excellent form in recent weeks and are a genuine chance for the title this year.

The Underdogs and Q Before You moved into the top eight replacing the Darkside and MILLERS who have struggled for consistency this season. Meanwhile, it's bad news for Dutchy and chardies in the relegation zone as Ginger Ninjas' big win has seen them open up a two game gap on 17th ranked Dutchys Dodos and with only five matches to play it could be tough for these sides to pull off the great escape.

Round 13 Preview

Poon Army v Q Before You - Match of the Round

Poony had a rare stinker last week and will be pretty keen to bounce back against mid table Q Man in this match. Looking at both sides Q looks stronger overall and I believe that Troy is 10-2 this year as he has adapted the best to all the permutations of the rolling lockout. Despite Hammo being the master of the late trade, I'm liking Q Before You to win this match.

Captain Who v Richo Richo Man

The Captain's premiership defence is right on track and he's well poised to become the first Hogg Premier League champion to go back to back. Richo's form has improved in the last five or six weeks after a real shaky period but I reckon he's out of his depth in this match. I reckon Richo Richo will go close man but in the end it's the Captain who will win and reduce the gap to one match behind the ladder leaders Poon Army.

Texas Danger SSC v Hawkeye

Despite scoring **** all points this season, Hawkeye find themselves well and truly entrenched in the top eight. For us battlers we all reckon it's high time Hawkeye dropped a few. Now Woggy has been a master of head to head combat this season but surely he can't get over the number one ranked side in the Hogg? If Woggy gets 2057 and beats Hondo I'll be reaching for the razor blades. Won't happen, can't happen...um...will it happen? No REB it won't, Texas Danger SSC to shit it in.

Spuds v Underdogs

The Spuds are going even worse than me in the last five weeks and this week they face a tough clash against Underdogs who have clambered into the top eight. The Spuds are one of the few teams that have Sidebottom who is really on the nose in recent weeks plus unusual backs selections like Laird. Gibbo has some unusual selections as well. Not many coaches in Premier would waste their time with Chris Yarran but after a couple of stinky weeks he could bob up against Collingwood tomorrow. I'm tipping the Spuds to win this match though because Gibbo has Nick Reiwoldt and his loss will swing the match Spuds' way.

Squeakeroos DTC v Cork in the Ocean

Both sides go into this match needing to trade to rebuild their defence now that Duffield is a non starter for the Dockers this weekend. Looking at the remainder of both squads I reckon Corky has the edge and this is a match he should win. Squeaky has drifted dangerously close to the relegation zone but the win he so desperately needs is not to be found in this fixture as I reckon Cork in the Ocean will be the winner.

Dutchy's Dodos v MILLER MOSQUITOES

Both of these sides have had pretty disappointing seasons with Dutchy's side looking especially vulnerable at this stage of the year. The majority of Premier League sides have at least 18 or 19 Premiums in their but the Dodos are decidedly understrength, particularly in the key midfield posts. MILLERS also have more than a few holes in their side but they can salvage something from their season and keep Dutchys Dodos in the relegation zone. MILLERS MOSQUITOES to win.

REBCats v The Ginger Ninjas

Two original Hogg Premier sides have done it tough this season with wins far and few between. The Ninjas have shown some signs of life in recent weeks after a poor start to the year but the REBCats are having trouble applying the finishing touches as we start to look more and more like the Roos every week. It is last chance time for my boys if I expect to make the finals and The Ginger Ninjas is a team that I normally own. Here's to one more trip to the well and a REBCats victory.

Buddyroughhawks v chardy socialists

The chardies looked like they almost might be back in town after defeating the Ginger Ninjas two weeks ago but got back to their poor scoring ways last week as they slumped to their eleventh loss for the season. In the preseason I had Buddyroughhawks down there as well but wycbloods' combination has unearthed some cracking form more reminiscent of his barnstorming 2011 Division I campaign. I'm right on the buddy bandwagon now and I reckon Buddyroughhawks will win this fairly easy.

Darksiders SCE v Longwood Lions

The Darksiders are in rare territory indeed coming off three straight losses. The big problem they face this week is a talented coach with plenty of trades. Not the recipie you are looking for when you desperately need a win to get back into finals contention. I reckon Alaska can get the drop on the Darkside here and I'm tipping the Longwood Lions to win and sentence the Darksiders to a fourth straight loss in Hogg Premier.

Chardys looking a good shot to knock me off this week. Gonna go down to the wire. His large Brisbane contingent got him about 150 more than projected. Of course he doesn't have Ablett either
