Kris Massie's first game as senior coach of Glenelg was less than 2 years ago. From that match against North, only Allen, Mules, Kirkby, Hitchcock, McGinty and Earl remain. Some names that are no longer at the club from that match are : Kane, Cranston, Grima x 2, McMahon, Panozzo, Murphy, Rudolph, Kirk, Meyer, Ruwoldt, Adlington. Player turnover has been a significant factor in where the club is at right now. The coach is forming his own list and there are plenty of young inexperienced players at the moment.
From yesterday's team, only Allen, Mules and Kirkby have played more than 100 games. The average number of games for the rest of the team yesterday is 23. The average age of those players is just under 22. When you have a young inexperienced list the main issue is always going to be consistency.
From here we can only continue getting games into our players and be patient as the continuity and consistent effort will come.
This is not an excuse for our recent performances, just some reasons and facts. The opposition we have come up against have been far too good and i'm sure that is the level that our playing group aspire to.

The Eagles having been hit with one one life saving scare (amalgamation) and will not now settle for complacency or being second best. Some clubs go about handling difficult situations better than others but those with strong administration handle the low points better.
Although the Eagles appear of being accused of being flat track bullies I will remind accusers that we have beaten Norwood this season, how we perform against West and North next time we meet will give a fair indication of our standing.
