Milang have a lot of respect from other H.F.L. clubs because they epitomise country footy the way it used to be. It shouldn't take Rocket Science to accomodate them and allow them to play competitive footy each week. They don't embarass the League and they win games.
To me, three divisions is the bleeding obvious solution and has been for years. Another option is to field Bs only, which Milang did successfully in the mid-90's. Many other options from posters here including SFL.
Meanwhile, the League needs to get bums OFF seats and see that a full, competitive side has somewhere to play.
while i admire your passion for your club, there are a couple of issues in your post that must be replied to.
no-one is saying that c grade is too hard to arrange. the hfl are desperate for it to continue, but they cant compel clubs to enter a side in the c grade comp. the reasons why milang can only field one c grade team (player numbers, volunteers) are the same reasons why other teams can only field an a and b grade team, but not a c grade.
on the issue of the three division league, i'm not sure it's as obvious solution as you may think. it's a great option for those clubs in div 1 and 2, but a nightmare for those in div 3. while it would suit milang to be in a div 3 comp, i don't think that sedan, maccy or gums would be quite so happy. it would effectively mean the end of them as a functioning club with no junior teams and maybe one senior team.
i'm not sure where this leaves milang.
the thought of players drifting away from the game cause they cant play is not what we want, but similarly, it's not easy to develop a solution for a club that has one senior team and nothing else. the c grade comp did this, but if the hfl clubs are now having problems fielding c grade teams, then options are limited.
