No, plenty of couriers in cars who are well within their rights to use loading zones for WORK purposes.
My experiences over the years are it's mainly lazy, inconsiderate people just parking there to go shopping, visit friends etc.
Drive down Jetty rd Glenelg or O'Connell & Melbourne streets in Nth Adelaide and you'll see where I'm coming from.

My underlying problem is flat feet and it's finally catching up to me now that I weigh close to 100kg.

Strengthen those flat feet is Scoob's answer. What a diagnosis. Get on Duromine while you're at it.

I clearly need to arch support to reduce the impact through the medial soleus.

My soleus is strong and big, but it can only take so much of a load.

You or ya missus a podiatrist by any chance... little touchy eh?

Personally was prescribed them and legs were worse...

Read some of Prof. Daniel Lieberman's stuff and make up you own mind. It's strange that the foot is the only part of the body that we need to physical support and manipulate as they don't function correctly.

so you feet are weak and are not supporting you body correctly - do you strengthen you feet or stick a wedge in there?

if you neck was weak would you strengthen it or wear a neck brace?

Being home sick, and then combining that with daytime tv...

Chucked on the NBL for a sport fix, and the standard is terrible...something like 10 shots in a row missed in the last 3 minutes when there was only 2 points in the game...

My missus is a public podiatrist and a damn good one. She makes no money out of prescribing orthotics but is far more educated on the matter than yourself and some whack-job critic you're quoting.
I would agree that sometimes, people are prescribed orthotics by the private sector at exorbitant prices but to declare orthotics the biggest con ever is a blatant lie.
It's like saying chiropractors are the biggest con ever. I believe a lot of private chiros only do half a job to keep you coming back but there is undoubtedly health benefits related to spinal manipulation etc.

Comparing your neck with your feet. Genius! Absolute gold.
