Just want to correct one thing about the age of players representing GSFL in the last three years
Three years ago Tony Modra was the only player over 25 to play in this game It was agreed to by both associations because of the drawing power he would generate
The following year David Hams was just a couple of weeks over the cut off date and last year under Bary Pilmore all players were under 25 Im led to beleive. I know definetley for the two proceeding years

Under 25 rep teams- they are a joke. Why not reward the best players in the comp!! The arguement may be that people (city recruits!!) won't play but so what you pick your best team- why reward the next best- isn't that what u/17/ u/18 rep sides could be used for. I don't understand leagues (the amateurs do it as well!!) that don't send there best team possible?

Still no sign of this jokestar J. Rigney ?

What is this clown up to ?

Definately not getting kicks if the paper is anything to go on. Not in the best once and hasnt kicked a goal !!! Surely Jervois arent playing this bloke?? If they heard he was a decent footballer it must have come out of his mouth cause he is own no. 1 supporter !!

Infact he is the only bloke that has ever said anything decent about himself.

He actually has an excuse this week as he was split open like a ripe peach and only played 2 minutes apparently. I think that would be about $100 per minute for the weekend!!! Or $100 per kick on previous weeks performances!!!

Best thing that could of happened to us, atleast he wasnt getting in everyones way this week. Most of us are hoping that he will be out for a couple of weeks, and im thinking he will have to get there for the earlier game. He would have to be pretty embaressed as he talked himself up so much before the season.

Bit of a story that Tailem coach played super rules on the week end- hardly the way to go about things I wouldn't have thought? Is he in trouble?? Would be interested to hear from anyone in the know as to Denty's progress? Obviously tough with poor cattle but his attitude can waver?

When you recruit as many players as what Jervois does you're going to recruit some who arent worth their money once in a while. And does it really matter anyway - they've got so many other quality players/recruits, and a huge bucket of money, dont think it will really make a difference at all. Yeah sure clubs like their recruits to perform, but as someone who follows RMFL footy, its quite obvious to me that Jervois will win the flag again this year (certainly would be interesting to see how they'd go against Langhorne Creek at the moment too). They've got so much more depth (money :P ) than any other club, and with the experience built up from last 3 years i think they're a certainty to make it 4 in a row (especially with the cagey Tim Richards at the helm).

Before the season started i tipped Ramblers to win the flag, and of course they still MIGHT, but to me they've been the big disappointments this season so far. On paper they've got a great list of players, but they may actually have to compete strongly for a top 3 spot with the way Imps, Mypo and Mannum are going at the moment. Not having Girardi around for many games i think has hurt them badly

Back to Jervois, i noticed their B grade results the other day, Braun, Lalo Kartinyeri and Burkett all playing, theyre all quality players, the Bloods just have so much depth. From what i could tell the League side wasn't playing great footy at the start of the year (including trials), but now theyre just a fair way above each of the other clubs, lets hope the other 4 contenders can provide a serious challenge for the rest of the season.

Down & Out, that does sound a bit of a funny one with Dent playing Super Rules, but who knows there might have been a legitimate explanation for it such as him wanting to get some match practice for the upcoming games, and to see if hes over his injury yet. But i agree, on the surface does seem strange, and im wondering if the club had advanced knowledge of him playing in that game.
