Apparently a big lad from Whyalla/Port Augusta way has been training, how's he going? Is he a ruck?

As per the quote and as per the Power website joining of the teams would not affect the on field operations of the clubs, with only administration and off field management merging. "It's commercial and administrative rather than football."
http://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/n ... fault.aspx
This is not a commercial matter nor is it administration matter - it is the Power recruiting a player for the Port Magpies which is a football matter and against the agreement with the SANFL and other clubs.
Any of the assistance for a support network provided by the Power can be provided by them to any SANFL club surely?
Of course protecting the best interests of a person would be considered underhanded in some cold hearted circles.
Precedent determines any answers given on this subject will not be accepted. So I'll simply say I'm ecstatic that Port Adelaide is maximizing its use of its SANFL division. Goes a small way to make up for the disgraceful SANFL enforced exile to Etheton.

Surely if they have his best interests at heart, like they are saying, they wouldnt care where he plays SANFL?

Perhaps you can provide a link to the agreement and the elements of it that have been breached - prior to any arrangement being set up of course.
Surely if Jurrah plays for the Magpies and his playing salary is under the cap there's no complaints with that component of it ?
Surely if the Power give him a community development role as stated and pay him for that, it would get audited to confirm he's being paid valid market rates for the role.... just like I'm sure the Centrals players that land in jobs at Tom Zorich SportsPower have their contracts audited to confirm they are getting paid valid rates in line with the hours they do.
Can you highlight the differences....

That's what I hear. You work for the PAFC, you play for the PAFC.
