I would think TTG games at Thebby
If Angle Vale don't request home final then I would think Salisbury would be the best venue for this blockbuster

That would be nasty, EM, Mitchell Pk and Sacred Heart in Div 7 reserves going out to salisbury. They all might get lost.

I haven't been able to find out if angle vale requested to host the final. I thought if they didn't Salisbury oval would be the venue. Not sure of many other fenced ovals between us and angle vale.

However, for example, if Mitchell Park A grade play their 2nd Semi at home but the B grade is playing in the first semi, the league will normally try and keep clubs together, so they may get a home final on default.

Hope that makes sense

Oh, i didn't realise you can't buy one for B grade.

So does that mean that if we keep second spot and play Henley at a neutral ground, then there is a good chance that our reserves side will still play before us at the same ground against Mitchell Park?

You can request it by all means, and the league will try and accommodate where they can. Sometimes it just doesn't work out though, in 2008, we played a first semi in B grade at WOS and then had to run up to CLG to play in a 2nd semi in the A's - so it doesn't always work out, especially if your team finished lower in the B grade and it puts the higher finishing team at a disadvantage.

Here's one for you Footy Chick, TTG finished 2nd in the A so there the home team against Henley. Now Henley finished 2 in the B's and will be the home team against TTG. I know TTG can't have finals, but say if they did do they still use the rule that the B grade home team (Henley) ask to have the home team change rooms, which would mean that TTG would have to have the visitor rooms at there own home ground. I don't think any team has every asked for it but just wondering if they still have it as a rule.

Does not make sense IMO. The season is still going for all involved. I understand association medals as not every side is still going but club awards should surely include finals

This usually comes up each year. Some clubs do, some clubs don't. Both have their resaons.

Hope Valley do and I believe your season ends when you play your last game of the year and thats when voting should end. Teams could potentially play 4 finals. I don't understand why those games wouldn't count towards your awarding your Best & Fairest player for the season? Each to their own though I guess

I agree with you S Demon but this topic was raised at the club recently. The only way I would think about not having the BnF count for finals was if we were going to have a "Player of the Finals" type award.

Nah minor round only mate, and if there are two or more finals played, a 'Player of the Finals' is also awarded.

I guess Mitchell Park have been accustomed to not playing finals. Plus our Presentation night is 5 days after the GF and would make life tough organising trophys if we made the big one. When in Rome.

Could you do your normal B&F and also have a "Best Finals Player" or similar?

I guess finals is where it matters. Anyone who plays well in that environment should be recognised.

Understand the logistical difficulties however.
