We will not compromise the SANFL competition (with AFL reserves teams)."

What garbage!![]()

How many of those 13 even played in the Foxtel Cup?
How much weight do recruiters place on Foxtel Cup performances when making recruiting decisions?
How many players of SANFL reserves standard (or lower) played in the Foxtel Cup this year?

I wonder if their opinion would change about it if all of a sudden their club were an inch of a chance to win the Thomas Seymour.

Wrong. I have never said I support the Foxtel Cup, I support the clubs right to choose to play in it if they wish. I also think if you're club isn't involved in it why comment on it?
I find it funny that the bulk of anti-Foxtel Cup diatribe in this thread is from people whose clubs are NOT involved in the competition. Why do you give a shit? I dont think many Port, South or West supporters have been too vocal in either their support or otherwise of the competition.

Until the top SANFL clubs get their heads out of their collective butts don't complain about it if you are not in it.
After having watched Claremont for many seasons I reckon they would knock the stuffing out of Centrals & Norwood with their aggression on the ball and skill level.
But we will never know as long as SANFL clubs keep pooh booing the idea.
Never hurt Claremont last year as they won the WA flag in a canter over Subiaco and are hot favourites to repeat again.![]()

By all means enter, but have a proper crack at it.

You think the standing of the SANFL is dented by this, and if so, by whom?

We are already dented by asking our lower ranked clubs to participate as those that occupy the qualifying spots think they are too good to lower themselves to the possibility of maybe losing to a team that on paper should be inferior to them.....
