4-5 decent crowds a year for cricket, no wonder they are happy

I don't think the council should do that, and I don't think Isobel Redmond would think they should either.Gozu wrote:The woman who dared to ask Isobel Redmond that question has been pressured by her council to apologise![]()

Would it be the Liberal party paying for this type of stunt, or would it be as part of their allowance.

DEPUTY Opposition Leader Mitch Williams has lost a party-room vote to appoint delegates for the Liberal state council.
The state Liberal party room on Monday elected five delegates to the state council - including up-and-coming frontbencher Steven Marshall and former leader Martin Hamilton-Smith, it can be revealed.
The party room overwhelmingly rebuffed a nomination from Mr Williams, who is facing increasing pressure over his performance as deputy leader and speculation that he will be replaced before the state election.
Ten Lower House Liberal MPs nominated for the five available spots on the state council, a powerful governing body involved in selecting candidates for the federal Senate and state Upper House.
Mr Hamilton-Smith won 14 of a possible 18 votes, as did Opposition education spokesman David Pisoni and former deputy leader Steven Griffiths.
Backbencher Tim Whetstone and Mr Marshall were also appointed.
Mr Williams' bid failed on just seven votes. Opposition treasury spokesman Iain Evans achieved the same number.
One Liberal source told The Advertiser the rejection was a clear sign "the party room has completely lost confidence" in Mr Williams and sent a strong message to Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond.
