The second social media page has been set up, with the new association Twitter Account to go along with our facebook page to enable us to interact more with our members.

The next step will include building links to our existing website, allowing users to link to and share results and news on their accounts. Even with the new ways to interact within others from the league, this forum thread will still be seen as an important source for our members to interact with each other.

If there are any suggestions or feedback you may have feel free to PM me on this forum.

Not much action on here as of late, but did get an email with Info from national convention, there is to be a Gaelic World cup in 2014..... One would presume excluding Ireland? Either way exciting for state team boys in the next 2 years.... Hopefully they would make it like the AFL world cup, meaning that most of the players would need to be Australian

This Friday at 6pm at the Irish Club on Carrington st there is a meeting for the State Under 18 Gaelic football team that is being put together to head to Perth on Sept 29th for the Australasian Championships.

Any young Gaelic Footballer or talented athlete born 30/9/94 or later is more than welcome to attend this meeting. If you know someone that you think would be an asset to the team please pass on the details. Most Gaelic contacts should have recieved the link via e mail today. For more info please PM me.

At this stage the make up of the team is still uncertain but should have a blend of State League players, 7 a side players, yr 12s from Prince Alfred College, St Pauls College and others and a mix of young footballers from Westminster and Sacred Heart. Plus a few iconic ring ins that im sure i will recruit along the way.

State team time of the year. Irish sports brand O'Neills has come on board to provide the three SA teams with kits. Each team was able to design their own unique strip using O'Neills online strip generator.

A lot of new faces in the men's side, but all talented players from what I've seen. The Milky Bar Kid running the women's team in his debut as a state coach. And I forgot how good Wristwatcher is at this stuff as he is oiling the wheels for another run at a minors title after a few years away from SA coaching.

Will try to keep everyone posted on future developments.

Im over rated but the talented bunch of kids that is being assembled certainly is not. Still a lot of work to be done but names like George "Donger" Hanniford, Shaun "Toy and destroy' Nunan, Harry "Check out my last name" De rooter and Dom "if you thought jamie was good" Conlon arent just gonna represent the State with pride but potentially form the backbone of this States future stars.... ala your Tommy Greenshields, Todd Mcsorelys and Adam Floreanis. They were all at one point mentored by the only man to be clininically diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Gaelic Dis-order

Speaking to Gerry Roe today there are 5 minor teams competing this year. Probably also 5 mens and womens. If anyone would like to discuss anything regarding the Australasian titles feel free to message or ring me. 9 WEEKS TO GO!!! :D

RON BARASSI often said "if it is to be, it is up to me". I first heard this quote from Dale Lewis on Triple M (not WoWfm). I was driving down a road at the time and i pulled the car over to write it down. At the time i missed it. That week i spoke to a guy who i have been lucky enough to get to know Scott Rodney Direen and he talked to me about that magical ten word two letter quote that RB told him..... "IF IT IS TO BE,IT IS UP TO ME!!!!!" 10 X 2 LETTER WORDS TO REMIND US THAT ACCEPTING MEDIOCRITY AND SECOND BEST SHOULD NEVER EVER BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As MG pointed out, I'm coaching the girls at the Australasian Championships in Perth this year.

We are looking to get business' on board to help us cover the cost of sending a team to the Championships, with around 95% of the weeks costs coming out of the players pockets. It would be great if you or your business (or know of any business that) would come on board in assisting us.

Basically business' will recieve
- The opportunity for sponsorship space on our playing kit (3 spots awarded, via a raffle $100 per ticket)
- We have a packages for your sponsorship to be garuanteed on our shirts/jackets or bag.
- Have there logo placed on a banner for the length of the Gaelic football season at St Mary's (home to the GFHASA, Kenilworth FC & AFL 9 comps) that opporate at the facility during the season.
