Shark_Hunter wrote:Some great comments in the Adelaide Now story, particularly the one about the young lad seeking autographs. What a great footballer, cricketer and more importantly what a top bloke.
Sad day for Torrens people everywhere.

Max of Ridleyton wrote:When I was about 5 years old my parents bought me an autograph book. Just after this we went to the Adelaide Oval to see West Torrens play West Adelaide. After the game my Dad lifted me over the fence and told me to go out to the players to see if I could get some autographs. Being a shy little kid I ran on to the Oval and just stood there as these huge men walked past me. Then one of the fooltballers came up to me and asked if I was looking for autographs. He then took the book and pencil from me and called some of the player over -- both West Torrens and West Adelaide. After getting about 12 autographs he then took me back to the fence to Mum and Dad. The man was bob Hank and from the day I have had fond memories of him. A sad day.
