T Shepphard from GG would have to be in the mix.

Sometimes you can get carried away in a game of footy after a bit of push and shove or a hard tackle, but there's a difference between a bit of niggle behind play and blatantly striking an opponent. Who wants to play football in a competition where you are physically assaulted for being one of the better players/teams? It's pathetic.
It would be sweet justice and karma if someone much bigger than these guys, like Whittles, decided to belt a few of these thugs before they have the chance to do likewise. However, that's not how most clubs with any intentions of being successful go about their footy and therefore that kind of BS isn't accepted within the club.
It's time people started naming names and these drop kicks get suspended for off the ball incidents more regularly.
End rant.

Yeah, 0.8 for James O, but he had plenty of friends!
Salisbury West are a very young side! Play the most distinctive style of all the teams in D4, probably the only side with a clear game plan, they chip and run but with hardly anyone over 6 foot they don't have much choice. The umps did a good job overall.
Is there still a Club Championship? Obviously I only ask because we are travelling alright, there is no ladder on sporting pulse.
Agreed. Having seen everyone now, I think SW are the best side in the comp. Easily the most disciplined side; very well organised and structured. Will be hard to beat come finals time.

When was the last time Unley won a premiership? You've been in Div 4 for about 10yrs. You've had to marry up with a school to have any sort of success. Well done.

I have been involved with the Unley Cricket Club and watched the Jets build the club over the last few years. They have worked hard and got some good people in place and IMO would be around where they are now with or without MOS. I am sure with the college they have added overall depth to the club but didn't the B and C grade win flags last years and A grade play finals? Would not be surprised to see them move up a few grades in the next few years.

I've seen alot on this forum but this takes the cake. Unley clearly have the best for and against and from what I have seen... and heard.. They are in my eyes and the eyes of many many others, the best side in this comp. And their depth is endless aswell.

As for marrying up with Mercedes, we were on the rise previous to this year and we have probably only gained 1-2 A grade players from the merger. Thats not many, I'm sure every club has similar or greater numbers of recruits.

Some good banter in the photo when our boy #24 is, true to form, elbowing a bloke on the ground in the face.
Moving on; massive game this weekend. I rate Scotch as the best team in the comp, on their day they have the most dangerous players. GG more consistent and probably a better 'team', but Scotch have the most guns.
Jimmy... why wouldn't they be 0 points?[/quote]
Because they have to had played 25 games for the school - simply attending the school doesn't grant them 0 points
