Just makes me sad that the Port Adelaide Magpies ... the real Port Adelaide, have hitched themself to a fallen star.
Week in and week out people walk away from a shit brand of football that Port Power play.
At least the Crows woke up, got rid of the robot master Craig and appointed a coach who will provide an entertaining style of play and bring back the crowds.

The real option was the park land triangle southeast corner of Port Road/west & north terrace (existing football ground) however I believe politics caused issues --- right at the end of Hindley Street and existing old station on western side.

Sigh - opportunities lost

North Melbourne have never had a good supporter base - they should have folded years ago

Correct North have always struggled off the field. The problem is only Port supporters will support Port. The rest of us grew up hating them and always will. How many jumped off the Crows bandwagon and onto the Power one when the Power Started? The SANFL did screw up giving Port the second license they should have made another team like the crows. Fremantle does not come from South or East Fremantle so the WAFL did get that one right. Yes it takes time to build a club but the Power is now 16 years old and is still struggling for members and the ability to sell out a non showdown game.

I would look at it this way
Adelaide Crows: Nwd, Glen, St., S.A.
Cartel: WA, CD, WWT, N.A.
with Port to be stand alone.

Adelaide Crows - Norwood, Sturt, NA, WA, SA, CD & WWT
Adelaide Power - Port & Glenelg

Adelaide Power should go OK

A sort of South/East and North/West combination. It has merit in that you could draw a rough geographical line through Adelaide separating the two sides, and allowing a theoretical identity. I'd include Port in the North/West zone though. That'd possibly give them more support overall, but it'd be a near thing with the numbers of Sturt, Glenelg and Norwood supporters out there.
What colours would the N/W cartel wear and what would you call them? Assuming of course the S/E side would remain in the state colours and be called the Adelaide Crows.

A better compromise:

Adelaide Crows - Centrals / Glenelg / North / Norwood / South Adelaide / Sturt / West Adelaide / WWT.

One Club / PAFC Power (or whatever they are called this year?) - the left overs from the old PAMFC carcass!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

I would have looked for something new and different like red, black, white and blue mix the main colours of the clubs up. That is where the Crows have it made using the state Colours it has put Port in a bind. And the marketing Genius who came up with the term the team for all South Australians was smart. Because it is saying hey everyone can go for us.
