People who create and event on facebook and planning one or two weeks in advance for a group of friends to go down to the local, have a few (or alot of) bevvies, have a chat and spend some time with your group of old friends. We're in our early 20s FFS, surely it isn't hard to decide whether you're going out on the weekend or not, it's a split second decision, a yes or no answer if you are or not. I'm not going out because of footy tomorrow but usually organising to go out or not between my mates and myself it takes a minute long phone call or 3 or 4 short text messages on the day asking around who wants to go out, what time and where we'll meet up first.

haha, reminds me of the time i got my car serviced at a rather large dealership. i got back a bit early so sat down in the customer lounge. shortly after i saw/heard my car leave the service bay at a rather large rate of knotts (was a mildly modified commodore), just as my mobile rang to tell me it was ready.

the look on the service managers face as he hung up the phone and realised i was already standing in front of him, and we could still hear my car as it was not exactly being driven sedately was priceless.....him "um, ah, it has just gone out to be washed" me, "be sure he gets all the rubber out from under the guards then hey". last time i took it there.

I would have made sure the service was a "complimentary" one, they would not have been game to charge if you had pushed hard enough

Don't blame the umps. It was our boys who couldn't kick straight. It was our boys who couldn't execute a tackle, mark the football, hit a target or win the contested footy. If Swanny didn't go down we would have lost by five goals. The best team on the night got the four points.

A big raspberry to the Advertiser who Thursday week ago had an article about the pioneer women's walk - from Hahndorf to Beaumont house - being held on Sunday May 12th and so a few of us have rocked up there just before the designated start time and were surprised to find no organisers there and sure enough we've rang them up and they told us "No, it was last Sunday, the Advertiser completely stuffed it up".
