32.8 If a team of a Club exceeds the Total Points Rating allocated to it, in any game played
by its Senior (A Grade) Team the following penalties will automatically apply:
32.8.1 In the event that the team wins – the loss of all premiership points, earned
for that game, the loss of all points scored by the team in that game, plus a
fine of $1,000.00.
How does this effect the opposition who have played Kilburn??
Do the teams that played in those first 3 games against Kilburn get:
1. The Premiership points + Kilburn scores set to zero for that game
2. No premiership points but Kilburns lose their premiership points and score is set to zero for that game
3. No premiership points but Kilburn lose all points but the oppositions against score stay the same. (i.e no % change)
Regarding allocation premiership points to opposition teams, there are two opposing precedents that could be followed.
When teams have played an unregistered player, they have been stripped of premiership points and points have been awarded to the opposition.
When a club has been unfinancial (Wingfield a number of years ago), they were stripped of premiership points, but none were awarded to the opposition.
IMO, the opposition should not get the premiership points, but I can see the argument against that.
