The Roosters will be keen to get back in the winners circle after the loss to the Maggies while the Dogs look to have their mojo back and are playing some good footy...

Game will be broadcast on 107.9 LifeFM...

Incredibly North beat Central at Prospect last year without Jimmy, but I would be very surprised if it happened again.

Yes but you are already have enough players missing, dont think you can afford to lose another especially one of his quality

Nick Gill kicked 7 that day at Prospect last year (Rnd 17 - North won by 33 points) and Daniel Stewart kicked 4 as well...

Stewart may get dropped by the Power and play but Clint Alleway wont be there and Gill is gone as well now...

Didnt North also beat Central at Prospect in recent years where Jimmy Allan went off injured in the first quarter and never returned.

Central have really struggled against the Roosters in recent years and havent tended to match up well against the Alleway, Gill, Stewart foward line. Big chance Stewart will be back with the Roosters but i think we should match up alot better.

Menzel out will be a loss for the Dogs has been averaging 3 goals a game, hopefully Jenner comes into the side for him.

Central by 3-4 goals.

North, without it's best key big man and the comps best player along with 2 other starting midfielders will need a miracle this week!

We can only hope Stewart gets dropped which is likely so that adds some bite up fwd but will Francou play Stewart, Boras and Johnston all up fwd? It is covering the midfield losses that will be the biggest problem, Moore has stepped up in the past 2 games playing throu the middle but I fear he may go up to the Power so that weakens us even further? Backwell BOG in the ressies so he must be a big chance to come back in?

Centrals comfortably I would think 30+ but North might get closer if they drop that "spud" Nathan Blee! Surely he plays ressies this week.

Not sure whether Troy might be left with the Dogs for another week or not? The State Under 18's are only playing a trial game against the Eagles Reserves and Under 18's comnbined so, like last week, SA coach Brenton Phillips may be happier for the lads playing in their respective League sides tp stay there? I think Sam Mayes and Nick Amato, both in the SA Squad as well, also played seniors for North last week?

Good news - Allan is free to play so that will reduce the loss hopefully to something respectable providing also we drop the others teams 7th forward - Nathan Blee!

Will be very interesting to see the team selections this week. If "spud" is in then centrals by heaps. If "spud" dropped then centrals by lots.
No Allers, no Gill as main contributers last year and no one standing up to replace them. Miles HAS TO STAY BACK not move around as a stop gap measure.

I agree re Miles. One of the annoying things about last Saturday's game was the fact Currie and Craig were dominating the in the ruck yet Francou somehow managed to play Miles both in the ruck and up fwd for a time??? As it was Blee was next to useless down back yet he also choose to have Hall start on the bench after keeping Duldig goalless the week before and move Miles from defence.

Play Hall at FB and Miles at CHB, Johnston at CHF and Boras at FF. If we get Stewart back then that's a bonus and he can play out of a fwd pocket and rest the rucks on the bench. Seems simple doesn't it, we can see it but sometimes I wonder what the coaches see?

Allers didn't play in the win against Central last year, but as previously stated Nick Gill kicked 7 and Daniel Stewart 4. We would need Johnston and Boras to do something similar, which is highly unlikely.

A big factor in that win as well was that you had Alleway in the forward line as well and the Dogs just didnt have 3 real big defenders, there was always at least one miss match in Norths forward line.

Alleway didn't play in that match. But you couldn't get the match up right on Gill all day and Stewart was always a threat. How did a team that had that potency up forward for much of last year finish 8th?

Oops i must be thinking of a different game then.

Not only a good forward line you a handy ruckmen and two magarey medalists in the middle.

Probably is a classic example of the old good teams are based around good defences, which Centrals are doing this year, the forward line is ok but definatly not in the class we have had previously but with the likes of Sibenaler, Collier, Sansbury, Marschall, Symes and co we run a pretty tight defence.
