Dunno if its financial trouble, things are obviously tight, like most businesses at the minute.

Probably a good decision, no use buying it and then going under cause you couldnt afford the repayments.

Westies are the only club I know that own their premises at their home ground (do Centrals?)

If they are in financial trouble you have to question their buying up of recruits last year.

Would be nothing in it other than the unfortunate circumstance of not owning it in the first place. I say that because of where it is, it will be almost impossible to buy back now.

My understanding is that as of last year the club owns everything within Langford Drive - Goodman Road - back fence of homes on Ridley Road - the black fence east of railway line. With possible exception of the bowling club and grounds.

I'm pretty certain I read last year that the club had bought the Grand Central carpark and the block of land south and west of the bowling club off of the Playford Council and/or the Housing Trust.

Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if the club even owned the land inbetween the railway line and the black fence.

It's going to be a constant battle to keep what we have as an SANFL competition.

Can you name a club that is not struggling in todays world..?

Can you name a Business that is not struggling.

Families are struggling.

Everyone seems to be surviving on credit today.

One day it will catch up on everyone and possibly the SANFL.

As the years pass it will get harder and harder. :D :(
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Anyone got a copy of their Annual report? Their financials would show if they own it or not.

Debt free are you - should check your financials and see what you owe then come back?

Lucky you got an almost free rent deal with your Oval as well for 99 years - wish we all had the Premier to pull strings! And before you fly off in a hissy fit we had John Bannon when he was Premier as our No. 1 ticket holder and we got diddly squat!

Don't need to check, it's not the question. The question was which club is not struggling. Before you suggest I may have a hissy fit, who was the premier when South moved and what relevance is it to any of the above?

Your statement was South were not struggling - I pointed out one reason why - South were gifted their rent deal so that helps paying $1 a year for 99 years re operating costs or did you miss that obvious inference?

Remind me again how much federal funding North Adelaide received to build the new gymnasium?
