It used to be impossible for a forward to get a free near goal now its a common occurance.

Cheech wrote:Hi guys, I know its bad to be bagging umpires as we all know the SFL are struggling for numbers.... BUT how do you feel about the umpires in regards to the handling of the rule changes. They seem very inconsistent and its seems each umpire has their own interpretation? Biggest problems seem to be the "hands in the back" rule, with them either paying it when there is nothing in it or there being definite hands in the back happening and letting it go? Also the "arm chopping" rule seems to be a problem for them?

The hands in the back is definately the most contentious if its a clear two handed push thats fair enough but when a guy is holding his ground it is rough and you are right there have been some easy goals given awayBackhand Panther wrote:Saint I watched Willunga/Encounter Bay game and the umps were hot on the push in back rule.
