We could go down the murrayville way and pay out around $60,000 to put the team on the park for the season!. Hard to underestand all of this flying in players from queensland and all over the place just to win a flag? does that build club moral or do they just go to the highest bidder? Say what you want about the van but you cant bag the crowd around it!!!!!!!!
i think the margin was more like 40 points and damage was done by quarter time ,hard to win games when you play most of your team in defence .only makes for a strappy game especially when you play on peake oval.As for murrayvillie they have only one player who has not played for club before [pearson new school teacher ,who did not play on weekend]on there list and most players are ex locals who live in adelaide and love going home to play[wyatts ,cranes ,bailey etc].so i think you will find that it is the people in the town that atracts the players not money and thats while murrayville is sucessful.the queensland player you are refering to is dixon another player who missed playing for murrayville and his mates and is willing to fly back and be part of what he can see shaping up as a successful year [which will only probably be for a few games],he also did not play on weekend.Murrayville will only get better as season goes on as players get match fitter [had no trials]and players like Omalley and Hentscke and even the coach Rodgers get on to park.So if you think getting within 40 points of murrayville with them only playing quarter and a half at best of good football, good luck for the year because it is going to be some long trips in that van
