of season presentations at west lakes Golf club on the 19th of May.
Years ago they used to do a similar thing at Stoneyfell winery and it used to be quite popular.
So question is do you think this kind of thing is something you and your club will embrace?

I think this is a great idea by the exec and hopfully is embraced by all clubs.

I believe the exec should do somthing the SAAFL do and make each club buy at least 1 table of 10 or somthing similar or face a fine?

Should be made a bit of a night out. Followed by after dinner drinks of P-Pop and a visit to the woolshed.

NO WOMEN THO. ;)

I take it all back and think the exec are back to what i thought they were after reading the above post by Oxygen

In their defence mate, I've been to the last 3 Assoc Presentation nights, and based on the the less than ordinary attendance at them all (trophy winners aside... ), you couldn't possibly expect the Assoc to go out on a limb and book a large venue for the event?? :? That's a huge punt to take! And if the teams don't do the right thing and book enough tables to at least cover costs, the Assoc is lefting holding the can. And you can forget about your Carnival 'subsidy'.. ;)

I'd recommend that if the vast majority want to turn the Presentation Night into a decent annual event like it once was, they show their support at the Fitzroy clubrooms this year and vote with their attendance.

Agreed the last few turn outs have been very average to say the least.

Really do think the assoc should make each club by at least 5 seats per team or somthing like that to make it an annual event.

I don't want to say too much, but one of our players recently came back from his Gold Coast holiday (think it was his 3rd Holiday for the year  ) looking like a contestant on the 'Survivor' series. Well turns out this player might sharpen up his appearance by attending 'Destination for Men' and think he might be paying a visit this Friday before taking on the other good looking bloke of our comp - Auto. This player can clearly seen in the middle of the top photo in this link
