We were appalling, Secca's bowled well but we batted shit, Units couldn't of asked for a better opportunity to get maximum points by bowling first and the Gardens were defiant and hung around all day thanks to Bazza who would have to be the most boring batsman to grace the PDCA, 39 off 56 overs, I can believe it.
The Goats on the other hand would've gone in rather pleased with themselves after dismissing Westies for 156, to be 4/18 off 17 at stumps would not have been what they were after.
Although the finals race has been run, it's still pretty much game on to stay in Grade 1 for 3 clubs.

div 1 had the likes of Jonesy, Thomas, Lairdy, at Centrals, North, McInness, Oz at SW, SN had O'Brien, Johnston, Jossy, OTH had Heinrich, Armitt, Danny Stevens.
then clubs like that floated in between divs like Smithfield had Col, Leg, Craigmore had Moore, Carmen, Oliver what a trio, EP had the likes of Steve Warren, Mobbs, Willow, a young Kenny Mac, Benny Hancock, South Gawler had Bevis (he was probably the quickest i faced) even in div 3 and 4 you had Willaston with Troy Bennie (scariest bowler i have faced) Fields had Scotty Donaldson, Donger, we had Robby Latrobe in our b grade. Other blokes like Jason Hull were floating in between clubs and young blokes such as Chrissy McLean, Kev Thomas, Rocco, Chris Hughes, Willy were all bursting into senior cricket.
GOOD TIMES!!!!

Played against OTH C grade, one guy was defending before you even released the ball. Once against our B grade he batted the last 10 overs on day 1, was still not out with around 2 overs to go in the match and asked how many for his 50. He'd scored 40 off 80 overs or so in a losing cause.

I remember playing against Salisbury West at Salisbury West batting with Baz trying to chase down Westies 300 odd, we certainly batted slowly for a while that day. Hes a determined fella when he gets his back up and i think he has had enough of the poor effort of some of his team mates so he is leading from the front for the end of the year in showing his team mates how to grit it out and spend some time at the crease. Maybe they can learn a thing or two.
Will never forget the westies players snoring and asking for pillows while Baz was on strike, funny stuff

by the sounds of it that would be Eric Dissenger. i remember back a few years ago against wasleys we were chasin 400+. Eric opened and ended the day, 70 overs later not out on 28. would be one of the most frustrating guys to bowl at. that day they had no leg side fielders to eric and were bowling half trackers in a hope he would play a shot. he didnt. the fielders were hating it. i think we ended the day around 6 for 150ish.
