A part from that, again i hope its for the better of the league. Was anyone playing when the C grades were in the relegation system and not to mention their respective D grades? Not at any stage have ai mentioned a club should be put in any division over another. Some have drawn their own tables and have been nun too impressed with the proposal. All i can say is, get behind your club and make sure your delegates get the whole message across be it for or against it. I will say again that i am for the changes but the sides taht have been placed in certain divisions need to e looked into a little bit more.
I'm old enough to remember the various tries the amateur league has had at this. May be a bit easier now that there are more clubs with 4 or more sides - the c divisions - or old division 9 and 10 south/north and old divisions 8-11 were generally fine. The big but is that there were minimal clubs with 4 sides (from memory, Uni, Tea Tree Gully, Broadview) with most others coming into being over the last 3 -8 years. The reflective system has led to a greater disparity in results in my experience.
Promotion and relegation worked reasonably well; some sides fluctuated and there was the occasional run of domination usually by c grade sides of div 1 clubs - Goodwood I'm looking at you - who stayed in Div 9 while the four sided clubs played in div 8.
I know the league is trying to accomodate wishes but also put into place things that should be non-negiotable (eg one team clubs play in c1 or top one side competition) while taking into account results from the last few years. It must be remembered by all that effectively a third of c1, c2 and c3 is moving into the new div 8 and these teams have to be replaced to have an effective lower grade system - while trying to keep triple headers in the forefront of planning. It won't be absolutely perfect but certainly worth the time being dedicated to it so far.
