When the game gets tense and a ref makes an error in judgement he has allegedly cost teams games. Hows about the 10 skill errors in a row that teams make under pressure that are adjudicated correctly before a questionable call.
The womens game i believe are now down to 3 qualified refs. The mens refs stocks are slowly growing but for goodness sake we make allowances for new players and their adjustments to learning the game, maybe we should do the same to the new refs. Heres a stat for your stiff sh*t list. In my first season as a ref in 1993 (i think) i quit after my second game because of the abuseand didnt ref again for a long long time....Its only now that i have developed an unquenchable thirst for being underpaid and regularly abused along with the goal of improving the standard of Refs in SA that i go out each week and enjoy it. Im not sure that many other refs actually get much of a thrill from the whole adventure though

St Brendans vs Na Fianna this Sunday night - the Taints thus far pi$$ poor numbers looking at taking another hit with the Morphett Vale Emus having a family day/pi$$ up and staging the Emu Gift 100 metre sprint. This will no doubt result in:
- The Polish Bear (2 time winner of Emu gift - about 10 years ago) missing the game after snapping a hammy
- The Polish Cub getting blotto and missing the game entirely
- ZC arriving sometime in the second half as it takes him 6+ hours to run 100m

Will St. Brendans still be able to play 15 a side on Sunday or is there a chance that they will only be able to play 13 a side.
