Doubt he felt much like a bully when 3 catches went down in 3 balls off his bowling on Sunday.....

We did well to get through 58 overs, the going was tough, outfield was very heavy, we'll be better for it having to survive with two of our better bats not playing.

I'll fly the flag and say Johnny only bowling 4 overs and the no. 1 slow option not there the second Saturday and fielding with 10 didn't help our cause ;)

From all reports DJ was sharper than Justin, Scotty bowled in good area's, gave you the chance to have a go but if you mis-hit, you were gone. I'm not saying we're world beaters but it was good to see us bat with composure and just nut it out. The outfield was far slower after the rain during the latter part of the week also.
Let us have a little moral victory please Oz you saddist ;) , we couldn't even get your team-mates in the club with some free piss by the way.

Full and at off stump fella, nothing short and lucky to be 100kph. If I didn't stray one I probably could've had Justin first ball I bowled to him, after that his class prevailed. Top lad I might add.

Had they been 4 1st innings wickets then yes.. but like you said, you dont know the circumstances of the wickets etc - i.e. batsman having a slog etc. :P

12 off 5 mate, yeah, I got belted amongst it. I don't really care, it was good to brush some cobwebs off, gave the boys a bit of a buzz, no one knew who was going to bowl til I took my hat off. I'm always the scapegoat when someone can only play one week and I've put my team and club before myself for the last ten years, I wanted 5 minutes to enjoy the game again.
I've sat equal club wicket taker for the past 10 months hoping it would entice the other fella to come out, take the lead and keep it, maybe now he might get back out there, there's 2 more breathing down our necks now anyway.

I was wondering if the boys would go in for a drink. They have team rules to abide by....and somebody had to by a carton of imported beer, different to the week before for the lads to drink as well as fines for the match to be handed out.

Going to be an interesting finish to the season! Obviously AV & SW are streets ahead of the rest, and VIR & PG the opposite, but through the middle it looks to be a fairly even battle..
All those extra 2nd innings points are going to be very important come the end of the season!

I realise you didn't make a statement it was your bowling, but watching the game I thought it was you. Anyway, just making stuff up is perfectly acceptable these days apparently.

If anyone is interested the Eastern Park FC will be taking on the Elizabeth Downs SC in a series of two T20 games, one being played at each ground.

The first game will be on December 4th at EPFC starting at 1:00pm, the game will feature alot of old faces combined with a couple of new that alot of people on here would have played with and against at various stages.

Havent got the exact details but no doubt there will be full bar facilites involved with drink specials as well as some sort of food put on for the day.

The game played more than likely in Janaury at the EDSC will also help raise much needed funds for the club trying to rebuild after the misfortune of recent incidents.

Fair enough, was a left-armer, I was having troubles walking, let alone trying to bowl.

Mate i spent a afternoon at point watching LM desrtoy Parkies at yorketown rd a few years back. Took 8 for off stuff all, and whilst on the field on saturday it took me back to that one particular day again. I never saw LM in his younger days, but if them spells are anything to go by, i wouldnt want to have been facing him, especially if angry!
