But i must comment on SPOCs B grade umpire. Not only blantant cheating but total disregard for opposition players welfare. Our FF took a mark and was then jump into from the front by a SPOC player who put both fore-arms into his head. Late, high contact and he did nothing. And he was right there at the contest. It took our umpire to come over and have a bit of a conversation to the guy and then a 25m penalty was awarded and the SPOC player was sent off - by our umpire. SPOC really need to have a think about this guy who obviously doesnt care if oppositions players get belted.
Anyway, massive round this week with the top 5 still not set in stone

Not sure we're talking about the same umpire. The one we had was a short, fat, old guy. Didnt look like a man who would be out "late in the night" to me.

Was showing signs of wear on Saturday FS, notice the runner had difficutly covering the ground at any great pace, half inch on Sunday morning with a full round of juniors and hey presto, we have lots of mud. From what Suri has said, look forward to the mud wrestling on Saturday.

The runner was spinning his wheels in the mud, rookie error leaving the boots at home! Thankfully the better half went and got them by qtr time

Suri wrote:Ok, we have established that our oval isnt holding up well in the wet. Which really isnt that much of a surprise.
Lets move onto the games this week.
Can Iggies knock over SPOC and keep 5th spot? Might be a hard task considering SPOC would be hurting after the 2 pt loss last week and PAOC in 6th are playing Athelstone and could leap frog Iggies into the 5.
PD and Uni is another crucial game for both clubs. Uni win and could keep the double chance. PD win and they could make the 5.
With the wet weather settling in, i think it will make all games close ones this weekend.

i reckon the Iggies SPOC game being played at iggies is actually an advantage to SPOC because their ground is Forked!
will be interesting to see if Frinsdorf is back this weekend to try and help the cause.
