Thats just another reason why jervois are the most hated club in the RMFL. Be interesting one day to see if a Jervois player gets injured by this form of contact & see how they fill.

You have got to be kidding me what a joke very poor form from Ladhams and Jervois. Especially from an ex AFL/League footballer who would damn well no if you do the crime you are going to have to cop the weeks that come with it. I also heard the fact that he called on some of his past resources and got a lawyer from the crows involved to sort his mess out. Common are you for real if you get involved in an incident and get weeks for it then that is your own doing. Man up do you your weeks that you got and stop being such a sook.

On another note heard there is a couple more injuries to come out of saturday's game for Imps. Jamie Honner out for a couple with a hamstring and Simon Tyler out for atleast 6 with a broken hand. Will be an interesting game against Mypo this week to see if they can cover there loses.

What a joke this is. They have put the whole league in Jeopardy just to get their own way.

I think all the other RMFL clubs should refuse to go back into their clubrooms in protest of how selfish they have been!!

They may suffer the same fate as the Redlegs did.
It only takes a unanimous vote of the other clubs and your out.
If they dont want to abide by the RMFL rules of which they are a part of , perhaps they would be happier somewhere else.

OK, I'm going to play devils advocate here! Even though I think he acted poorly ;)

A, If we were paying a very high priced recruit & coach, that allegedly got his $$ regardless of his playing capacity, I would hope our club would do their best to make sure we weren't flushing it down the toilet too. In many ways the Jervois football club should be commended for being hugely supportive of Chris.

B, I think it is the RMFL who have failed here! Back your tribunal in, dont turn, run & hide at the first sign of a challenge. If my understanding is correct, they actually put it on the other 6 clubs to pay for anything, had they have lost  Like another poster has suggested, did they even contact the SANFL or CFB to see what sort of assistance they could have got? Who knows?

The 1 thing I think is lost in all of this is Joel Kay is unable to play for atleast 7 weeks, now has 2 Titanium plates in his Jaw, & a number of screws for the rest of his life

Jake Watts got 3 or 4 (cant remember sorry) for a sling tackle at AFL level, the resultant injury to the player was a bad concussion, Joel Selwood 4 for a broken ear drum. These injuries are vitally important to their commission when handing down sentences. I wonder what someone would get for HIGH CONTACT with the result a broken jaw. These two things are undisputable! They happened, the nature of the contact whether deemed Intentional, Reckless, or accidential, would have a further bearing on the result I would think

Next time I would like to see the RMFL stand up, regarless of cost. Lets be honest, it would survive it!

We have a group of VOLUNTEERS running the RMFL.
How would you like to spend your days in court facing the states top Barrister who has defended many high profile cases and is alledgedly doing it for nothing.
All they have done is follow the rules of the RMFL.
If your not happy with those rules , as part of the RMFL , you can change them.
The Community Footy board have had input, however the point of the challenge is to get Ladhams playing footy again. If the case continues , he gets a stay and can play until a result of the hearing which could take months.Point achieved.
If the case is dropped or resolved by a reduction in games, he plays -point achieved.
They have opened a can of worms that can effect every footy comp in Australia.

Agreed
I do really feel for the RMFL, as everything you have said is on the $$$. Just would personally liked to see them fight it
1 question-If the barrister was doing it for nothing, then the league had nothing to worry about in regards to court costs then correct?

Its just too messy.

Does anyone know what he was challenging? the actual suspension period and guilty verdict or the process used by the tribunal to make their deciscion? Two totally different things.

I've noticed the RMFL clearances generally aren't updated until the weekend, so any recent clearances are likely to be put up over the next 1 or 2 days.

Well I had to have a little chuckle to myself when I heard yesterdays results. Well played Jervois, well played!!!

Mypo 2 draws in a row aswell is pretty strange, comp is in a interesting situation with any team capable of winning on the day.

Tailem were also in the game against Ramblers till a massive final quarter. They continue to produce good games of footy to watch with there scoring power but clearly need some work on there defensive structure

Will be a interesting couple of weeks with Jervois facing Imps and then Ramblers. They need to sneak a win over one of these teams to have a real chance of making finals otherwise they have wasted a hell of alot of resources and the clubs reputation for nothing
