Premiers wrote:My understanding, re boarders at local colleges, is thatThe SANFL deems the college as the residence. Therefore, if an outstanding young footballer living at Clare (Eagles zone) comes down to Adelaide to board at Sacred Heart College, he is deemed to have his residence as Sacred Heart and is tied to Glenelg. This is an unfair advantage to Glenelg (Sacred Heart), Also Norwood (St Peters, PAC, Pembroke), Sturt (Scotch), West (Immanuel) benefit. The losers are South, Port and the Eagles , maybe North, who don't have colleges with boarders. (St Michaels has no boarders). Can someone clarify this rule?
If this rule is correct, it's overdue for correction and to make an even plaing field.

Forget the name, only that it was the son of a former Torrens player. So there was at least one SHC kid who wasn't forced to play with the Bays. Pretty sure he wasn't a boarder either. Anyone want to fill in the gaps?

unless their zone does not want them. Cam Hitchcock is the most recent example, zoned to Port but not wanted so Glenelg got on to him via Sacred Heart
