They were good, probably the first '4 quarter game' they've put together in a while. Can only get better if they have a decent run with injuries during the back nine.
As much as CLG were good, we were equally poor. All the things we did well against Trinity OS were missing from the game yesterday. Lacked a willingness to run and work to contests, refused to handball backwards to the free man or to outside runners, and I hardly saw a shepherd all day.

reminded me a bit of round 17 last year Q, when you boys just didnt turn up to play. you're obviously a better side than that and im sure you'll bounce back after the break.

he has a broken fibula, possible ligament damage in his ankle but will find out at end of week after a visit to the doc. Hopefully its just the leg and he can get himself up and running again come finals time as he is an important player in our forward half.
After seeing all teams in the division now i think finals are going to be very exciting as there really isn't too much difference between the top 5 sides. Kenilworth are the benchmark team but i dont think they are that much better then TOS, Glenunga, CU or BOS, they are certainly no West Croydon or Lockleys from last year who were dominant all season.
With Trinity , I think the A grade will take alot of belief out of the game against Kenilworth as they were severely undermanned and that was easily our weakest side of the season. We were missing our top 5 players, with our 3 best followers out. No Peters at CHB or Matthews at CHF, both are very influential players and make a huge difference for us. Once we get our best 21 back on the field im confident we can knock off anyone come finals time. Hopefully we can win enough games to finish top 3 and go that extra step come september. It is footy though and anything can happen until then........ although i hope it pans out that way

Still missing 4 of our 5 leadership(Rogers, Gagliardi, Peters, Battersby), playing assistant coach (Mathews), last years B & F winner (Nourse), our CHF Michael Zorich and the last 3 years leading goalkicker (Spurr). Certainly no excuse for our wayward performances of late .

That's him unfortunately. Probably no need to mention him in my last post since he has now left. Still a big loss anyhow.
