All of that was again ruined my that Albino umpire and his no so inept but still dismal mate. They were terrible, inconsistent and irratic, i'm pretty sure neither of the teams knew what the whistle was going off about most of the time.

So where does it say in the rule book (pardon my ignorance) that its a red card and automatic one game for wrestling. Again its a case of the retaliator gets just as much as the bloke that started it all. From my view point which was only 20 metres away and i was next to the coaches box. Prior didnt start the incident and did not throw a single punch. The wrestle would be due to the weak act of the punch whilst a player is down. If it was me i would be fighting it. Im sure the ump would speak the same way as he umpires SH!T

so half way through the season, who are the players and pretenders, looks like Flinders - SMOSH -Portland - Seaton and Mitcham will be around the mark.

Cheers mate, By all reports the ump sent the wrong player from Pooraka off in the first place. Plus as i said before the retaliator or so called retaliator who didnt swing or land anything gets a game for trying to protect himself. Just goes to show the calibre and inept game officials the league is dishing up. Now they want respect and they zero tolerance with ump bashing and so on, but when the umps are what they were on the weekend and the reports that are continuously coming through what do you expect.

Is it just typical SAAFL website updates or is it true that Prior is the only player frontuing up to the tribunal form Saturday's game. From memory there was two players sent off with the Red card but only one named on the site

If it was me and I was not the actual player that did it i would be fighting it. Sounds a bit funny to me.

Well.................. A disappointing day out at Harpers on Saturday. With alot at stake on this game against CBCOC, plus safooty poster Optimus Prime's 100th game we were hoping to take a win into the break and have something to take into the last 9 games but it wasn't to be. The B's had a strong win in the early game to keep their finals chances alive and early on the A's looked like they could win their second game of the year and stay in touch but once again we wasted too many opportunities in front of goal where as CBCOC turned their fewer opportunities into goals. Very disappointing to be up at 3/4 time and go down without a hurrah in the last. It's going to take a miracle from here.... After seeing all teams now this year I have to say that us and CBCOC are the lesser talented teams in this div and will do it tough to stay in. We need some players to find some touch, need a few to return from injury and seriously need a bit of luck if thats possible. We just turn the ball over too much, we aren't finishing the goals and we just leak too many goals due to the pressure we are putting on our back 6. Lack of a key forward is hurting us too as we have only kicked 10 goals more than once (our poonent kicked 19 so no real consolation...) Scores of 9-16, 6-19, 5-7, 7-10 (our winning score...) and 8-19 just isn't anywhere near good enough in this division and neither is letting thru scores of 12+ goals in every game except 1. I honestly think our best side can compete well in division 3 and win more than they lose but what we have got in season 2011 is nowhere near our best side and it's proven by where we sit. Getting out of a weak division 4 last year into a strong division 3 this year has certainly shown us where we sit and what is required to become a stronger club. Lack of recruiting has definitly hurt us too....
But the lads will keep trying each week, we will look to inject some under 18's into the team now and I hope that they can salvage some pride from the rest of the year.

Well I think Pooraka's seems about the same or slightly better. A very well balanced team who are aggressive at the ball, use it well and have a nice mix of young blokes and old heads with a couple of quality recruits. We aren't as good by a long way. 12 missing from last years A grade team including McCarthy, Hoklas, Boxer, Anderson, Vascotti, Marshall, Pascoe and only 3 ins and struggling to fill vital positions with the right player at the minute. So yes, very different in my opinion.

Has been out to a couple of trainings but has bad OP and I believe has had an operation finally. Would be handy in a side lacking goal kickers too....

Would like to say well done to Stephen Beer from Para Hills..
Well done 300 games.. I watched it & all the boys in the B's pulled together for him 7 played really well, A 92 point win over seaton was great..

2 time A grade B & F
2 time B grade B & F
U/17's B & F

Dont know about a weak Div 4 Choccies ... as I recall the Grovers had a couple of close calls during the finals against Greenies with a total margin of about 7points over the 2 games

1 straight kick and you guys would still be in the weak division ...Unley and Salisbury might not agree with you either
