Another good win for us on the weekend. CBC came out hard after a spray at half time, and kicked a few goals, but probably jsut lacking a bit of class that they ahd last year. Jars taking a one hander from an out on the full kick was classic- Crowd loved it! Bad luck to no.6 for CBC for not taking our wingman home after doing all the groundwork. Harshest tag i've seen in amateur footy, yet still got 2nd best!

We controlled the game for its entirety, which was lucky, because our coach has enough grey hairs sprouting already.

Also, as someone who knows how to tear a hamstring, i don't think tis something to be made fun off. Marshall is still one of (if not the best) Seatons best players, and going off would have had a huge impact on the games result. Sounds liek a good game of footy though, as was expected!

Mitcham romped home with 8 goals in the last quarter but we tried hard all day. Missing a few set shots early probably didn't help us gather any momentum but I think we were alot better than the scoreboard showed. A good, hard at it team are Mitcham, in both the A's and B's and both games played in pretty good spirit. They just had a bit more class and consistency around the ground in the end. Hoping that we build on what we showed yesterday when we take on Pooraka in a triple header on Saturday.

First half was a pretty a close contest, we only came in a goal up at half time. GG flooded our forward line which really kept them in the game, as our use going forward was poor and we continually hit their players. Second half was a different story, we came out and took complete control of the game, kicking away in the end to win by 10 +. A few injuries for GG didn't help either - massive bloke at CHF was icing both ankles by half time, ruckman was injured not long after, then as was his replacement #3 Daniels. Few more changes next week I'd say choccies. #5 was easily best for you, read the ball at the contest very well and got plenty of it.

Because thats where my car was parked dickhead, what door did you want me to go out. Im flattered that you took so much notice of what door i left by, what colour underwear did i have on??? see your still a bonehead satchell. Short memory you have, its people like you who have no idea about why people left but make stupid statements how players abandoned that club and take cheap shots which shows your total lack of respect for players that were at the Portland football club and help formed the very culture to which your very players experience today. I'm pretty sure some of us gave enough blood sweat and tears for that club and achieved a great deal in a short time something you have no idea about. Fact is I love going back to that club, some of my best football memories I experienced at that club and felch is right water has gone under the bridge and most people have moved on except obviously you satchell!!!! If you want a history lesson on the club satchell come see me some time and a few of us will tell you bout the very first game the club played, or the Russell Evans era, the Brendan Klaebe, Gavin Crack situation, the first premiership, the luge, the club song, cocktail nights, players shows, footy trips, the old iggies game down by 54 points at quarter time and come back and win, and the list goes on and on.
On the game, It was a good game played hard and tough which is what was expected when these two clubs meet. Portalnd kicking to their club end in the last quarter with their tails up is always hard to stop. They controlled the midfield they controlled the game, Bird was great all game but exceptional in the last quarter, reminded me of another guy who wore the number 5 at that club a long long time ago.[/quote]

#5 - ads ended up 2nd, he was brilliant all day. he did a great job on your #5 who was carving us up in teh first half.

in both a and b greade we were close at half time and then got blown out the water in the third term.

our skills were very bad in the b grade, i think we hit you guys more with a few passes than us.

few guys in ya b grade were good value, gacve each other a bit of stick in the game, but was all in fun and had a bit of a chuckel about it at end of game.

So Satchel just thought I'd ask What have you accomplished at Portland? Have you captained an A grade flag, coached Portlands A grade, played in the SAAFL rep side, won numerous A grade B&f's. You maybe quick to stick the boot into Marshall and everyone is entitled to an opinion but really he's done alot for the Portland Fc that people are quick to forget when they leave for a rival club.

Nup you got it pretty spot on there HR.... After half time your 2 blondies in the midfield did what they wanted and in the end we had a B grader in the ruck !! And I mean literally !! He was pulled from the B's at quarter time when one of the A graders finally decided he was going to work on Saturday.... But injuries are no excuse. You guys were just too polished for us. Hopefully we can get a couple back cos having 9 changes in my B grade team isn't overly handy !! But the guys we had out on the park had a red hot crack I thought and hopefully we can build on that this week against Pooraka in a charity game to raise money for Breast Cancer.

Ud know what a w nker is you look at one everyday in the mirror.
Good win the the a's bs and cs on Saturday. Thought both a's and bs were played in fantastic spirit. Disappointed number 2 didn't buy a raffle ticket in the last qtr while sitting at ff. He did have a laugh though. A few b grade fellas did say the gg were abit to nice out on the field. Gg will get better as the year goes on and I wouldn't think they would be relegated if they get the 9 players they were missing back in the team

Was this in teh A's or B's mate ?? If it was the B's then he has an excuse..... he broke a finger in the 2nd quarter and played the game out so probably couldn't write his phone number down !!

Yes the B's were 'too nice'..........
