from my understanding there will be 4 'super' teams. in all about 50ish contracted players to play in the new league, players will be paid, how much i am unaware (yes vote-18million back into grass roots cricket). they wont play for their club sides is the word i have been given and will play more to the first class rules, re overs and no compulsory declaration etc i am only assuming this means they may train a bit more aswell. if this is the case i guess this will weaking the 'a grade' (obviously) but a grade will now not be as important and players will have to push to get into super league.
i wonder what this may mean with turf clubs having a few more $$$ if some grade clubs may die off if my information is correct

Positives and negatives with this set up. What if the player doesnt want to play for a team that means nothing to them? (if they dont intend to play State Cricket). If some clubs go under alot of talent will be lost to turf clubs and never reach their full potential IMO.
The standard of players that arent playing 'super league' will be considerably reduced as say (purely hypothetical) ND, Kensies and Sturt loose 7 players from there A grade squad and TTG, ETand PA only loose 2. ND, Kensies and Sturt will become whipping boys for the grade comp and the overall standard drops as a result. The next crop of super league cricketers is worse of and they will take time to make it at the next level.

From what I hear the "Super League" is still very much in its infancy and it will not happen next season as there are many issues still to be ironed out.
They are current looking at some of the bylaws and playing conditions. There is a push for more 2 day cricket while The 1-day and T20 comps will be separate. There is unlikely to be T20 games in B, C or D grades. B grade may move back to mirror A grade playing hours while compulsory declaration at 90 overs in the A grade is to be reviewed

I was playing B grade when the playing hours were changed and the players hated it, myself included. So changing that back would be good IMO.

You are kidding!
The 1pm start time has been the BEST thing happen to B Grade cricket in ages. There is not a single player in the competition who would want to start at 1130am, apart from you and a couple of mates. 80 overs is plenty.

Haven't heard a thing about it other than what I have just read here. As a concept it sounds good, but lots of detail needs to be clear I would hope before progression to reality.
