1. Redeveloped Adelaide Oval
2. AFL footy at Adelaide Oval
3. Riverfront development, pedestrian bridge etc
What I am most excited about:
1. Improved funding to grassroots cricket (and football for that matter). Meaning more game development staff and increased funding for programs that have previously been run on a shoe string budget.
1 - The riverfront development will rely on massive private investment. The government has no money for this ( so they tell us ) we'll see what happens there.
2 - I like the increased junior development, just make sure we steer kids towards the longer forms of the game.
1. Yes, they do - it is in the budget according to information I have read from the Treasurer's office.
2. Or, we can improve the education of coaches to include how to approach T20 properly. It's a game of skill and tactics, proven by the Redbacks last summer. Chuck Berry is keen to help in this area. But don't worry, a Shield victory is where we want to head. I don't want to reopen that debate now though, I'm busy basking in the sunshine...
