What I am most excited about:

1. Improved funding to grassroots cricket (and football for that matter). Meaning more game development staff and increased funding for programs that have previously been run on a shoe string budget.

1 - The riverfront development will rely on massive private investment. The government has no money for this ( so they tell us ) we'll see what happens there.

2 - I like the increased junior development, just make sure we steer kids towards the longer forms of the game. ;)

1. Yes, they do - it is in the budget according to information I have read from the Treasurer's office.
2. Or, we can improve the education of coaches to include how to approach T20 properly. It's a game of skill and tactics, proven by the Redbacks last summer. Chuck Berry is keen to help in this area. But don't worry, a Shield victory is where we want to head. I don't want to reopen that debate now though, I'm busy basking in the sunshine...

Also -the Casino has already released huge plans haven't they? They're the key player in that precinct, if they jump on board then others would follow you would think.

Correct. Skycity basically said no AO redevelopment = no casino redevelopment. The impact this decision will have on that entire precinct over the next 20-30 years is huge.

Centrals got our first win if that's what you mean :d \:D/

A flogging is exactly what we got all last year being the new team, so i wouldn't expect any different for Modburys first year. They will definitely develop as a team as the season rolls on. There was a good crowd there on Saturday night... hopefully the same will happen this Sunday at Argana [-o<

Hahaha, yeh I'll cop that one. It's very true though. The only way I could be softer is if I came off with a broken nail... But hey, broken nails hurt

And rightly so, that would be the difference between investment and donation

It's not a bad thing for those of us who do actually frequent the Casino. And after all, they are a business, they're not handing out blank cheques just for the good of the community, of course there's benefit (profit) for themselves in the long run.
