The correct decision was made but will be very ironic if all this work is done and Adelaide goes back to a 1 team town when the power get shipped off. They are kidding if they think this will save them

Greg Howe spoke very well on 5AA this morning, very impressive.

Key point was he will respect the Yes vote if it gets up and he expects the SACA/SANFL/SMA/Government to do the same if it doesnt.

I hope Howey sticks by this and rejoins his day job!!

That was Greg Howe's early number 1 issue until Les stole his thunder

For some reason after that Greg turned to other issues that then became his main issue (insert sarcasm emoticon here). I think by today he was down to Heater's "we can't afford it" argument.

I think he will be relieved it's all over TBH so he can get back to a normal life.

As I said earlier, it will be interesting to bump this thread in 5-10 years time and see which predictions have come true.

In a funny way, those of us who voted no are the winners as

If it all goes according to plan, we will be happy as we get our cheaper memberships, the heritage of the ground is (largely) preserved, and our cricket clubs will supposedly get all this funding.

If it doesn't go according to plan, we will have a clear conscience from the way we voted and others will have to concede that our fears were justified. We will just have to work harder then to save the scoreboard or whatever it is that SACA haven't kept their promises on.

So I'm not overly disappointed and you won't hear any more grumbles from me (until when/if it all falls over or SACA break their promises, which I really hope they won't!). Hopefully all the scrutiny over this will make sure everything is done properly and as promised.

Good luck SACA/SMA/SANFL/Government/AFL, you will need it as there are still a lot of hurdles to overcome before it all works!
