Many times I have walked out of the ground thinking Allan was our best after a defeat, too bad he doesn't have the support of a team like Centrals. Anyway, just trying to make a point about the fact Allan gets no respect from some, who are delighted with James Boyd.

I did not say Boyd was as good as Allan, i was just pointing out that James never seems to do damage against us!! Going on your comments maybe he should do what Boyd did and move to a team that will aid his obvious skill and ability and just maybe he will recieve that premiership medal he deserves!!

The Sleeping Giant wrote:Anyway, back onto North and Port. I'm sure Josh Francou is a relieved man tonight, as are all North supporters. Would of found it hard to come back from 0-3. Especially after playing West(no disrespect redandblack), South and Port. Big game this week against the Eagles (hopefully it's on ABCTV this Saturday), who will be stinging after getting belted by Sturt.
I said to a fellow North supporter that North only have to kick more than 10 goals today to win. It must be a huge concern for Port that they can't kick more than 10 goals. They haven't done that for their last 6 games now. Not easy keeping teams to small scores week in week out. Daniel Healy learnt that the hard way.

Agree
You NA supPORTters would see Jimmy every week and see both sides of Jimmys game
ALLAN
This is how I see it
When Jimmy is given latitude he WILL invariably carve you up
When he is tagged or the opposition go man to man with him, he will still win a great % of the ball
BUT
By manning up on him you create a contest and make him accountable
Jimmy will still dominate, heez a champ, but you can nullify or occasionally stop him with making him contest more plays
This logic applies to MOST star players, it aint rocket science
TODAY
OK PA have a gameplan, start with it, back your players
Thats a great way to teach the players and make them good footballers
BUT
When any opposition player is killing you, make a move, or tag him
Common sense
Whether its James Allan or a player playing his first game, you gotta make it tougher for that player

Not where I stood. We were all commenting about where were the Port mob today. I was in front of the remaining grandstand which understandably was all North but we could hardly hear a whimper when Port scored. Perhaps it was different in the outer.
