Just goes to show by have the right club atmosphere and not having $$ moochers at the club can actually promote a healthy club.
If there was a clapping smile icon thing I would use it right here.

Good luck to Lucas "Doof" Newton who did his AC joint on the weekend and is out for 10 weeks. Knowing how tough Doof is there will be no doubt he will be back later in the year.

Have done extremely well in enticing former students to the club. Have worked hard on what is a very large talent pool and now reaping the rewards. Well done.

If they were worse than last week then SHOC are looming very omniously indeed! Athelstone were good yesterday, definitely had superior fitness and work ethic to Modbury. We played like shizen but a lot of that was due to their pressure which saw the 3/4 time scores pretty much even. We kicked away a little in the last, Luke McDonnell in the forward line proving to be the difference as per the budget writers prediction.

Think a few of our guys might have seen the score in the paper from last week and thought it was going to be a cakewalk. A better understanding of the challenge is and was required.

Congrats to Flinders Uni B grade on what would have been their first win in near on 2 years I reckon. A few beverages I dare say would have been consumed down at Crabland Saturday night.

They looked alright lacked a bit of fitness and polish but are very competitive. They'll improve as the year goes along but depth could be they're achilles heel, they'd want to have their best squad on the park everyweek. I'd expect them to push for a top 5 finish.

I think depth is the most underrated quality of a side. Any goss for me on you guys? All fit and firing?

Good news for us on the injury front with Colin Sumner's leg break being a bit less serious than first thought. It's gone from being a likely season ending injury to back in maybe a month or so.

I'd tell you Morell but then I'd have to kill you ;)
All seriousness though we're still quite a few away from being full strength and being honest having the bye after the Easter break is a god send for us. Having said that I'm sure every team is in the same boat and we'll definately be fielding the best side we can for the long trip down south this week.

Good news bout Sumner. Beers on you Saturday Morell? :D

Yeah we should be pretty close to 100% as well. We have a few sore bodies but thats pretty normal. Should be a good day. The only player unavailable from Saturday that I know of is Joe Leck. It is funny what can happen over two trainings and a Friday night though ;)

Happy to shout you a beer mate, I think I will probably be playing B's though so I might not be around by the end of the day. If I am I will seek you out and send a few tinny's your way.
