They're sitting 1st in their A's, B's, D's and 2nd on percentage in the C's...They're a powerhouse!
Just goes to show by have the right club atmosphere and not having $$ moochers at the club can actually promote a healthy club.

If they were worse than last week then SHOC are looming very omniously indeed! Athelstone were good yesterday, definitely had superior fitness and work ethic to Modbury. We played like shizen but a lot of that was due to their pressure which saw the 3/4 time scores pretty much even. We kicked away a little in the last, Luke McDonnell in the forward line proving to be the difference as per the budget writers prediction.Double P wrote:morell wrote:Here are the 10 new guys into the Athelstone C Grade:

Athelstone C grade will actually be weaker this week with 6 C graders from last week out and 1 going up to the B grade.
a few from the D grade have come in. Morell athelstone will be similar quaility to Modbury which you beat by plenty last week.
Athelstone C grade is full of kids this year which the older types calling it quits on there playing days.

Good news for us on the injury front with Colin Sumner's leg break being a bit less serious than first thought. It's gone from being a likely season ending injury to back in maybe a month or so.

They looked alright lacked a bit of fitness and polish but are very competitive. They'll improve as the year goes along but depth could be they're achilles heel, they'd want to have their best squad on the park everyweek. I'd expect them to push for a top 5 finish.
