agreed, C4 seems to be the worst comp to play in for this reason. To be honest who cares if you play one side 4 times and another only twice? I think a couple of years back our D grade played in an 8 team comp and they were unlucky to have to play the better sides more often but still only missed out on the GF by one game so if you are a decent enough side you will actually benefit from playing the better sides. It just works out to be the luck of the draw really.

i'd sooner do this than actually play in a 9 team competition with the bye.

I posted that they were closing their doors about two weeks ago, word straight from the President's mouth.
If it goes to 8 team comp with the 4 byes, im pretty sure wed love to play you round 1 10:15 at Argana Park before The Eliz Vs Kilburn game. Everyone wants to play rd 1Roaring Lion! wrote:duncs wrote:catchisthecry wrote:Heard again from a diff person they have given up oval so def gone..

Dunc's if this is the case yes we would be keen as for a hit out against your boys either round 1 or round 2?
Lets see wht the league do with the draw & if they go down that path lets make it happen as otherwise will be hard to keep numbers interested with only 1 game in the first month...

Try telling that to the knuckleheads in at Thebarton. They think it's "unfair" on the side who has to play a good side 3 or 4 times and it doesn't fit the magical template.TEX07 wrote:finn wrote:i struggle to see why the team that has the bye and the team that now has the forfeit can't play each other with minimal disruption to programming - i'm sure these could be converted into triple headers but the saafl know best...
